They are a playoff team now, something they have been struggled with for the past 6+ years! And they also made it to the 2nd round, a huge success! Canucks last effort in the playoffs were utterly horrible, but they know got the experience for the next year.

@drbeat-it1ub Typical Vancouver hockey fan. i.e. someone who has probably never played the game but talks a lot online. Speaking as a Montrealer who moved here in the 90s I can tell you the Vancouver fans are the most frustrating to be around and listen to. In Montreal 95% of the people who watch hockey have played hockey. In Vancouver that figure is probably 15%. And it shows. Let me break this down for you. The NHL hockey season is a very long and brutal process. Sometimes you don't play well at certain times. Sometimes you do play well. That's just the way it is. Like Wayne Gretzky once said they were actually four different seasons. 1) preseason 2) regular season 3) playoffs 4) finals. You've got to play well as a team, generally speaking, in every single one of those segments. And by the way they didn't actually play that badly. They got to the second round and they went seven games against a very solid and stacked Oilers team. So give your head a shake and don't comment on the internet unless you know you're talking about. It's tiring.

@@Joe-mz6dcnothing you say will convince anybody we played well 5-1 game 6 and for the first 50 minutes of game 7. Yes it was a good series and they did keep the oilers on their toes, but it doesn’t mean we were always playing well. Defense was awful outside of our goalie and we almost never have leads for over a minute. If silovs wasnt silovs we would have been swept no less. I get that youve played hockey, but it doesnt change how the canucks played. We CAN improve, that was the entire point of this interview

@@Joe-mz6dc Typical guy making KZbin comments that are all assumptions. I actually played hockey for 12 years. The Canucks were slumping big time for the last quarter of the season in case you didn't notice. They had some moments but they were badly outplayed a lot; which they shouldn't have allowed to happen. So give your head a shake and don't make comments when you have no clue what you're talking about. It's tiring.

Something doesn't fully add up about Petey being injured in January. I wondered if he had something going on by Feb, but maybe he wasn't fully up front about it. Because it's a contract year and he's a competitive guy, you could see that happening. The team for sure would have shut him down if they thought it was as significant as it seems to have been. I'd like to see him work on his puck protection. He has good size and reach. You see guys like Draisaitl and even Tkachuk who can keep the puck away just coasting and using their positioning. That and to get lower into a more stable skating stance. Point being, injuries are going to happen but you should have a foundation to work from that doesn't totally neutralize your strengths if slightly off. Which for Petey his strength is his hockey IQ, so he should be able to find a way to maintain that when and if he loses a step.

Not sure but i do rmb the Nashville game when we score to win he didn't jump over the boards but when thru the door . His shot was off as skating . At the end of the day it was his real true playoff . He may not be as rough as the Canadian boys but I've never seen him as a quitter . It took Datsyuk a few years to become the beast he was . I have faith Petey will come into his own and maybe top all the swede greats that wore this jersey

I remember Gretzky getting absolutely destroyed trying to bring the puck across the blue line towards the net. What he did after that was gain the blue line stop and pass the puck to whoever was open. Getting double teamed is a harsh reality. The Canucks need tough guys to protect there's players here because they need the protection on the ice i don't think they can do it them selves so let's get some tough guy to protect them next year.

Not interested in hearing from Petey, right now.. Just have a healing summer and comeback a better player (and turn your hat around)!

He does have a clapper, only thing is that for the style of game he plays the clapper is mostly useless when u playing that fast and your only option is a quick wrister
