Things my teacher has told me a story of something like that. He was the teacher who led the making of the yearbook. One year, we had Russian kids as our editors. An Armenian girl's last name in the yearbook was misspelled by two letters being switched. The girl's mom complained that it was a hate crime to be taken to the school board. (Mind you, it was the mom who submitted the name for the yearbook). My teacher tried to logic it out trying to say that wouldnt the Russian kids just not put the girl in the yearbook or so something worse? But no, the mom complained it was a hate crime that the kids had done this

One time we had an art project and I got a better grade than this girl and her mom came to school and tried to convince the teacher to change our grades,apperently it was the girl's ideea and when the teacher didn't want to change it she said he was selfish and unfair and shouldn't be teaching

My dad was a teacher and one time the parents of his smartest student complained about him giving her a B. To be honest, she had the best grade out of the entire class because most of them, including her, didn't do all the work. The parents even got the school involved and on their side and tried to make him give her an A. REALLY?!?!?! If she had properly done the work, she would have gotten an A. That's pretty much what my dad thought as well.
