Anyway I told them I wasn't gonna clean the papers until I smack her (which I was never gonna do I was just saying so because I didn't want to clean after the papers) And they had to call my parents and stuff, my parents told the school that I was wrong for doing what I did but if the teacher listened I wasn't going to be standing there or get in trouble and what the teacher did is called child abuse and that we can report her and the school for not doing an action, anyway I didn't clean up the papers and didn't get in trouble but was heavily grounded by my parents

I was in gym class and I needed to get the volleyball that we were playing with from the bleachers. Our teacher was in class that day, but she had a substitute monitor us because she was busy. This teacher lets us retrieve balls that end up on the bleachers. As I was retrieving the ball and just about to come down, the substitute teacher came over looking infuriated. She yelled at me to get down from the bleachers and that I am not allowed to retrieve the ball. I look at the teacher and explain to her that we are allowed to retrieve balls that end up on the bleachers. She ignored me and told me whatever she says goes while the other teacher was still in the room. I told her that I was coming down with the ball and that it isn’t that much of a big deal and she yelled at me to come down and stop being disrespectful. I then tell her that she is overreacting and completely stepping out of line. She continued to yell at me and tried to write me up for it. I kept my calm until she was calling me names in front of the class and completely disrespecting me.Earlier that morning I had the same sub in my homeroom, and she was disrespecting my friend and later I went to the office for other reasons before the gym incident happened and I was talking about it in the office and the lady overheard and she wrote down the teachers name and we talked about how this teacher was stepping out of line. I told the substitute teacher as she was trying to write down my name that I talked about her previously in the office and that if I complained again that she could expect to lose her job or get a warning from the principal. You could see the substitute teacher lose her shit. After that, she was called to the office to speak to the principal. I have no idea what happened. It was honestly hilarious in so many ways, I am usually the most respectful and nicest kid in the class but whenever a teacher tries to punish me for a unspoken rule that she didn’t have the right to enforce while the teacher is present I will put the teacher in their place and let them know of their wrong doing. Yes I did go overboard, but the teacher treated me a my friend a lot better from then on. My biggest tip to avoid teachers treating you unfairly is to always be the “good kid” in class and whenever you feel mistreated, call them out on it. Make sure they don’t treat you poorly again. They value the behaved students and when they speak for themselves, it makes a HUGE impact. The same goes for other people.

One time it was eat at your table/desk day. Apparently, the teacher was "allergic" to peanuts, which she wasn't, she just freaked out because her son had a peanut allergy. One time in kindergarten my teacher screamed at me for laughing loudly, which I DIDN’T. I was just drawing quietly and she just yelled at me and called my mom over. She just kept telling my mom that she is sure that it was definitely me cuz it was definitely my voice but it really wasn’t me. I was just there crying and keep on telling my mom that it really wasn’t me and thankfully my mom believed me rather than my teacher cuz she knew it when I was lying or not. My mom was very pissed at my teacher ever since and ever since I became anti social and quiet. I used to talk a lot but I guess that really hit me at that time which made me quiet till I’m already a teen. My mom often blames that teacher for my quietness but I dunno. That same teacher also once yelled at me and got me into trouble for lending my crayons to the kids behind me cuz they asked to borrow and I wasn’t even talking or anything but she got mad cuz according to her I was being loud despite me not saying a single word at all and all I was doing was colouring and lending my crayons to my classmates. Yeah I was in kindergarten at this time I was 5 years old and she screamed at me so loud and it honestly traumatised me and now I keep on worrying about getting punished for something that isn’t even wrong. If you’re a teacher, please don’t do this to your students, it’s just not right.

Sometimes I have trouble asking for help when I need it. Luckily things have gotten much better and I have some amazingly wonderful teachers to thank. When I had much trouble with asking for help I either wouldn’t or would be very reluctant to do so. Now that I have these teachers they have helped me not feel guilty for asking for help. On the one where the kid got in trouble for yawning too much, yawning is actually caused by lack of oxygen or too much oxygen. It’s just your body’s way of settling it’s breathing. The reason people typically think you yawn because your tired is because you breathe more deeply when you are sleeping than when you are awake, causing you to yawn when you are actually awake.

The thing was I was probably the kid who always asked questions and answered all the stuff so they wouldn't ask me, like no matter what.

I got in trouble for humming. HUMMING. I’ve always hummed and most of the times I don’t even notice I’m humming. My mom always told me that I always sang and hummed a lot, it was normal for me. And when I was in kindergarten, I got in trouble for humming. My mom thought it was stupid herself.

Okay so this is also a sort of VALID reason to get in trouble. Lets say the teacher or a classmate has misophonia. This is serious and can cause panicking, crying, the want to flee or intense shaking (for me at-least) and if I were in your class that would be the case. This is a valid reason if they have misophonia

And the teacher's unions wonder why parents want to send their children to charter schools or home school them.

I got in trouble when i was 5 years old and my teacher told us to tidy up the classroom but the class just sat down in the carpet ready for our next lesson whereas me and 3 or 4 other kids started to clean up. The teacher got mad and yelled at us for not sitting down like the rest of the class. My parents were not happy with the teacher and my mum was literally my teacher's colleague (i said "was" bc that teacher doesn't work at my school anymore). Another time was when my older cousin got detention because he didn't have an eraser in his pencil case. He was in Year 8 at the time or something.

We have this teacher in my school which basically doesn't make sense. He would say 'cut the paper and stick it in' then all of a sudden he would give detentions to students for cutting up paper. And he would tell students of for talking even though they were answering a question or asking a question to the teacher

5:18 same happened to me, I once took a drama club ,which isn't often because I don't go to clubs, and the teacher was talking. I was listening to her and while that was happening I was sitting facing another direction I've didn't look at much of the class so I just thought to myself, ''Hey, what if I just scin and scan through the class quickly?'' It was a bad idea since the teacher looked at me and thought I was rolling my eyes. It was about half an hour before she gave up in trying to convince me that I did. I almost started to cry and from that day on, I hated that class (not like that didn't happen before the arguement). Edit: sorry I ment 5:09

I heard crazy stories like these growing up but I was beyond blessed to have had great teachers. One great teacher in high school spotted a couple of kids bullying me and told the boys that she would write them up if any did it again then told me I could come to her at any time to tell her what's going on I would always be believed and helped. She told me I could tell her a spaceship landed in her back yard and she would believe me. They never did again and I somehow always seemed to have someone watching out for me. I felt very safe in that school.
