It's like how a woman explained why bikini's and underwear are different in why they mind seeing people wear them. When you go to a beach wearing a bikini, you consent to everyone looking at you in that way. But when you are wearing regular underwear, you usually don't give consent to everyone seeing you wearing them in public. Sure some women might not care, but the vast majority do. They consent to you seeing them in a bikini at a beach or a pool, but they don't give consent for you to walk into their room to see them in their underwear. Its the same with Pamela Anderson and the playboy vs the tape. She gave consent for Playboy to take photos of her and to publish them. But she didn't give consent to the video tape being released. Sure she may have shown the exact same thing before hand, but consent is important for anything and everything.

It's crazy because despite Kim and her sisters being sl*t shamed they have no issue doing it to other women like Bella Throne (who was only what 18 or 19 when Kortney's over 30 yo baby daddy dated her) or even towards black women like Blac Chyna (who is a victim of Revenge P*rn by Kim's very own brother) and Jordyn Woods. So it was enlightening to hear you talk about sl*t shaming and the differences that occurs between it with class, race, and age.

But Kim's family encouraged it which is the opposite of the Hilton Family and their religious leaning. The more I learn the more I realize that situations are never simple or black and white.

@@dansetteameliawilson3227 the medical field is exactly the same actually if not worse because they're playing with people's lives. The only people that can be trusted in the medical field are SOME nurses and nursing assistants. And they're not paid enough for what they do and how badly doctors and patients abuse them. ☹️ There are cures for so many things but doctors only get paid for certain/very specific things so if they don't continue the cycle they'll be fired and/or not make money. Also a lot of information is hidden. And women but especially women of colour aren't taken seriously by doctors. For example look up the history of birth and why women are the only mammals who push and push on their back. It was a voyeuristic request of a king who wanted to watch women give birth and it became the law and it hasn't changed since then, even though it's terrible for us, and WE POOP SITTING DOWN FOR A REASON. Also doctors have to be present for the birth of the baby or they don't get paid, so nurses will make the mom HOLD THE BABY IN HER until the doctor comes in OR theyll put the mom into early labor without her consent if the birth is before a holiday or vacation for the doctor. Or coerce her into getting a c section (most common in women of colour). I'm not even joking anyone can Google it and there are books on it.

I was a cheerleader in high school and the football game was over an hour ago, so my mother who was alway late finally arrived and I was alone outside the school at 10pm at night I was hiding behind the side of the school because I didn't want ppl driving by to see a 17 year old girl standing outside the school by herself at night, so when I seen my mom car pulled up I headed for the vehicle as I got into the car my mother started asking me questions like who I was with and then stated that I was a slut who slept with the entire football team when at the time I was a virgin, but I was pretty ticked off because she was the one who was late picking me up and had the nerve to be asking me questions. That was many years ago and I have no relationship with that woman now because she has issues.

I remember in my Catholic High School, my friend was badly S. Shamed by the Catholic nuns & principal. She was only a freshman, & just turned 13. ( she started school early) She had developed overnight it seemed. She had a Marilyn Monroe esque body at 13. Our uniforms was a jumper dress. It had to be long enough pass the knees, to where even if you are sitting, you can not see your knees. The jumper dress came really high for around neck. It had a zipper in the back. Because her breast went up the size, she had to UN- zip a couple of inches in the back. Because it became to tight around where zipper part around the neck, & it irritated the back of her neck to the point where the thin layers can came off and his beet red & hurt. Her mother was waiting for her next pay day to get her a new uniform. One day when she her hair in a pony tail, the nun seen the zipper un- zip, then she, noticed, that the bottom part of her knee was showing. She freaked out on her in class,,in front of everyone. Telling her this is not the place to be a "hooker" & send her to the principal's office. The principal accuse her of doing it, for the crowds of boys waiting outside as the girls are released from our school. Then called her mom, & told her she couldn't come back until she can learn how to dress like a lady. Then threw in & teach your daughter not to be loose. Then said if a boy was tempted, it was basically her fault and not the boy. Thankfully us in that classroom, had better sense to know better. Even thought she said she's not paying attention what what they said at the time and was just mad at them for forcing her mom to borrow money, for a new uniform before she can truly afford it. She was a very bright & very outgoing. Always had a smile on her face, that made other smile just being around her. She lit up a room . When we talked about it recently I told her, I seen the change in her that day. She said she became very self-conscious about her body and she wasn't before. a certain sadness in her eyes, that I didn't see before. She admitted to me that she became very depressed after that day. Even thought it was ridiculous, what they said. She said by the next year, she almost didn't return, and was contemplating something horrible because of the depression. She grew another size up in her breast. Now even thought this was years ago it was the mid-90s. Our school had a reputation of being behind the times and being very strict. Suddenly before the year began they made an announcement that they made changes. They got rid of the principal and most of the nuns. ( most of the nuns were 80 years old) They relaxed on rules and regulations especially on uniforms and what they can and cannot say to us. Come to found out a parent that was a lawyer of one of the students. Told her daughter to record the next time the nuns & or principal bully her and she did. Apparently it was pretty bad. She's threatened to take them to court and go to the newspapers with it. Next thing you know all these changes took place. My friend said her mother was the one who broke the news to her of happened. Her mother was saying how happy she was because she debating whether or not to send her back. Because how awful they treated her daughter. My friend my friend said that's what snapped her out of her depression she burst it out into tears in front of her mother. Then told her how she was feeling. Her and her mother had a long talk. Her mother reassuring her how much of a wonderful person and where she was. This snapped her out of her depression and she was able to gain her self-confidence back. My friend said if that didn't happen she wouldn't know where she would be today?? To bring it to the point of what I'm trying to say my friend survived it, came out okay but how many girls that were shy vulnerable already. Was verbally abused by S. shaming them. There was a lot of parents that in the name of religion, would not question a nun. Then if something happened to them thinking it was their fault, because maybe their skirt was a little too short. Never reporting it or getting the help they needed. Examples like that, is the reason why I am not a religious or belong to a church now. Not that I think anything is wrong with being religious. There's nothing wrong with believing. I feel the people are the ones that make a church or a religion toxic. I think one of the Top toxicities is S. Shamimg young girls. If you made it to this point. Sorry I went on to a such a long rant, but it brings sadness to my heart. 💕✌ Side-note- I like to repeat what swoop said, to younger generation. You did nothing wrong. Please know yourself worth. You deserve love, care and respect. Treated with kindness. At your own time and pace, do what's good for you. Don't let anyone determine yourself worth. Even if it's family. Having the same bloodline does not determine what family is. Family is good people that have your best interests at heart around you. Have your back no matter what. Truly love you for you. Their love is truly unconditional. Yes call you out even on your BS in private, then calmly talk about it with listening ears. Then socially always talking good about you. That is the true meaning of family. It is not easy but don't stick around toxicity just because you are blood related. It is NOT your fault.💕

I still don't think this will be the destruction of their legacy in the slightest. Most people have known they're liars and con artists, and yet they're still here and still going strong. I don't watch them nor purchase from them, and I hear that same comment from so many, but they're clearly still here... being billionaires. I think the collective "we" need to investigate why we continue to let them reign while also claiming we hate them.

Hi Swoop. First, I love your work. I was a g&g fan during the makeup boom a few years ago, and your piece on racism in Hollywood was a whole experience for me. Someone making really smart, informative content that’s relevant to me??!?!?! I’ve watched every video you’ve made since. On the subject of Slöot shaming, this is a subject which has affected my life deeply. I ran away from home at 13 in the early 80’s. I was homeless on the streets of a medium-sized city. Because I was a teenager with absolutely ZERO adult supervision, also zero support. No clothes, no food, no home. I did have actual parents, of course, but due to physical and emotional abuse, it wasn’t safe for me at either parent’s home. As you can imagine, I slept with lots of people. Sometimes against my will, or in a state beyond being able to consent. I finally got pregnant at 18, got married, made a home. But my entire adolescence I lived under a cloud of judgement, mostly from other teen girls. It deeply affected my self esteem. At 14, the 2nd time I ever had intercourse, a 28 year old man gave my friends and me too much tequila. When I was literally incapacitated, he raped me. The next day I broke into a raging herpes infection. I had really bad symptoms the first few days. Fevers and all, huge blister/lesion, barely 14 and I was too frightened and ashamed to tell anyone. I seriously considered suicide. That was 1983. Flash-forward, I vividly remember the first time I saw a Slut Walk, and an angry young woman wearing a thong and some electrical tape, stripper heels, and sign reading “Still Not Asking For It!” And I felt a rush of deep primal connection with the concepts being espoused by those women. All my adolescent life I’d been taken advantage of sexually by adults, and judged simultaneously. One example; I was born with malformed kidneys. The first time I had kidney stones I went in to a public hospital ER. I was told I had PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) an unspecified bacterial infection “from being promiscuous” (their assumption). As a result, I passed my first kidney stones alone and without any medication, not even Tylenol. I was 15, and I was lucky enough that time that an adult man let me sleep in his bed without demanding sex. (Thank God since I was doubled up and crying most of that time!)

I can relate to your story so much, I'm also a 70's baby and the trauma I had to endure in the 80's still haunts my nightmares. I'll start with 6th grade, so I was 12 yrs old & also the first class of 6th graders moved from the elementary to the middle school, was the first time I was sloot shamed by damn near everyone in school. I went to the movies with a boy in my grade. Now at that age I was dropped off by my mom who then waited outside the theater (to make sure I didn't leave) and as soon as the movie was over I went straight to the car. We didn't hold hands, kiss NOTHING in the movie but by Monday the whole school "knew" exactly what we did....or rather what he said happened. That was the start of my sloot shaming because after that I wasn't allowed to be anything else...according to my asshat peers. My home life already was horrible and when I got my first period (at 10) it got worse! From that time on my mom labeled me a sloot and just knew that I was. I didn't even know why I was bleeding & thought I was dying. Thankfully the school nurse helped me a lot & told me all about it and gave me pamphlets to read. I was in and out of different hospitals & juvenile facilities until I was 18 and then I was magically an adult and on my own. Which is when my life did start getting better! I had my first baby 2 yrs later, my 2nd baby 5 yrs after that and am now 50 yrs old and have been happily married for 16 yrs to the only boy from middle school that had it worse than I did (also the only boy from that time that never was mean to me). Sorry this reply is so long but I just felt a real connection to you and your story. I'm happy that we've both defied the odds and made something of ourselves and are both here to help this new era of young girls and boys stand up for themselves & each other. Much love to you my friend ♡

Top tier content as usual, Swoop! The amount of respect you have for your audience and craft is always appreciated! I grew up a fat girl (and still am), and I remember a letter being sent home in third grade- age 8 approximately- that I needed to start wearing a bra or I would be kept on the teacher bench at recess indefinitely. Apparently, my running around with other kids gave faculty a cause for concern. As I’m writing this I’m realizing my nasty teacher must have brought it up to the office and asked them to do something. Makes my damn skin crawl. I didn’t realize until my late teens how bad that one thing (among others, sure) messed up my perception of myself.

When I was 20, I was actually forced to leave drug treatment 20 days in to a 30 day program "because i was too much of a distraction to the men". They switched me from inpatient, to a long term outpatient schedule, which was literally going in twice after they made me leave. I was literally teased in middle school "for being a whore" because I had DDD cups in 6th grade. So ever since 6th grade, I wore t shirts and sweatshirts 98% of the time. So it's not like I was walking around the treatment center in a bra and thong. I wore pants and t shirts.

Talking about people remembering being "sloot"-shamed... just yesterday I got out of the shower and felt good about how I looked in the mirror (which has been a long time coming, feeling like that), and out of nowhere, a memory from my middle school health class, which was taught by our 50-something male gym teacher, popped into my head. Like I hadn't thought about that man or that class in years, and it's been 10+ years since it happened. But I distinctly remember him "joking" to the boys in our class that, "If a girl has a lot of straps, that means she's got nothing going on." It was so disgusting, and I just remembered feeling so ashamed. I always had "a lot of straps" because I had too MUCH. To the point where I was 17 I had a breast reduction surgery to go from 36H to 36C. I was so physically uncomfortable at the point, it literally would hurt my back to walk, and I was so depressed and emotionally uncomfortable by being constantly sexualized. So this whole-ass adult man not only was spouting misogynistic, incorrect information, but was also sexualizing teenage girls to a room full of other teenagers.

I remember the sloot shaming of the 2000's. I was in high school during that time. We were in the green room changing for a school play, they had men and women change in different spaces. The sound of the musical was so loud we couldn't really hear anything and were in a hurry. A boy slipped in and took pictures of us. I was 17 at the time, and had only just turned 17 by a month. He then posted them online and sold them off. We were all blamed and even though he was 19 and a second-year senior (he got held back a year) nothing was done to him. We, however, were suspended for a week for "being nude on campus in a public area" until my mother came in metaphorically pew-pews blazing. To this day, I worry as even a few years after it I still saw those pictures online and just couldn't manage continuing to keep sending take down notices. it will follow me forever. I even had to explain why I had a suspension void on my record to both universities I've attended. Something none us knew was happening will now follow all of us forever.

Kim and Kris specifically were the masterminds of their current status. In the beginning Kim seemed desperate to surround herself with the right people. Who are their fans though? Can you make a video on who is their typical fan? I think those who have any bit of common sense have caught on and removed themselves from their following. The Kardashian lack tact, class, intelligence, innovation. When you look at all their products, they’re not original, just copies of other products. And people call them business women?! Nah! Anyone who is willing to compromise their integrity can too be famous and have money! It doesn’t take a genius! Thank you again!!

"We ALL have had to make sacrifices to get to the place we are today. We have taken over the WORLD, if you haven't noticed!". "You, Kim, honey, have been the BEST daughter, the HARDEST worker, have solidified our standing in society, in culture, HELL, in the HISTORY of the WORLD! And it's all because of ME, and how much I pushed you, supported you, and how much I PAVED the way for your success, by ensuring you got all the best interviews, brand deals, show ideas, etc...". "Without ME doing ALL these things for YOU, where would we BE as a family today?!? NOBODY would have worked as HARD as I DID, to ensure YOUR success, AND the success of THIS FAMILY, Kim, honey...". I can just picture this in my mind's eye; Kris using ALL the known narcissistic tactics of control and manipulation, to convince everyone, but mainly HERSELF, all the shitty things she has done AS A MOTHER, were the right and correct choices for the "betterment" of the entire Klan. And Kris has been this way from the beginning, with the "It's us against the world...we have to stick together as a family, no matter the cost..." mentality. Completely brainwashing her kids into compliance. It's quite sickening...but more common than what many people may realize. And the only reason why half of them stick around, is because she has convinced them, they can't possibly survive without her guidance. Her son knows better than anyone, what kind of monster she truly is, and she keeps him in line by being his biggest enabler, or he wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with her. And Khloe is so traumatized by it all, she can't stand to see an orange and an apple sitting next to one another! Granted, she is their MOTHER, and of course kid's love their mother, in the true sense of the word. But that doesn't mean mothers' can't be TOXIC AS HELL!! And sometimes it's in your best interest to get as far away as possible, by going no contact. It's the only way to have true peace in your life, if you have a person, such as this, in it....

I’m gonna say, that another factor in the whole basing slootiness off of income, is that people make general assumptions that wealthier people have their shit together more maybe? so it’s easier for people to sloot shame a girl when they think, oh she’s screwing around with everyone AND she can’t take care of herself. Definitely playing into some cognitive bias we get based solely off someone’s appearance. And I think we’ve all learned by now that being wealthy does not mean you got it all figured out. but society will assume someone that’s wealthy makes better decisions.

The question of would it be different if it was Kim's father instead of mother blew my mind 🤯 You are so right Swoop. Holy shit it would be treated so different.

My niece, a sophomore in high school, was just disciplined for her shorts being “too short”. The family just moved from IL to GA & this was her first week in a new school and new climate. Pisses me off. Boys rarely get this treatment. It’s such BS. 😡🤬

That lie detector guy has been charged with false test and has taking money from people to lie about the result. Same guy that did it for the cheater Nadia which everyone knows is a COD cheater. Just proves the point they used him on this show to lie for Kris.

Fun Fact: I am AFAB, when I was 14, again FOURTEEN, my boyfriend broke up with me. Immediately after breaking up with me he got with one of my best friends. When I messaged him completely innocently asking about his relationship he told me that one of his best friends wanted to have s3x with me because my chest was large. He then continued to try and pressure me into doing it until I blocked him. He was also 14. This stuff starts YOUNG.
