Une chanson mythique composée par Frank Pourcel et Paul Muriat et publiée par Petula Clark en français sous le nom de "Chariot". Merci mon adorable amie pour cet amour musical entre océans et montagnes avec des couchers de soleil dans le même sens. 🌟⭐💫❤️❤️❤️🌟💫💫🌟💫⭐💘💘💘💘✨✨✨✨💫⭐🌟💫💌💌💌😊

Chariot of love? That is what the lyrics of songs like "I Will Follow Him" suggest, but the music actually paints a picture of those pioneers on the wild frontier who traveled through the prairie in those hooded wagons. Just listen to Frank Pourcel's instrumental version on kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIqpY6ysi99kr6M . When you hear that twangy guitar solo, those lush violins and those horns, you can almost see that epic landscape of Monument Valley in front of you, because this is the kind of music that belongs in a spaghetti western, or maybe in a Quentin Tarantino movie. Those vocal versions are also quite nice, but it you look at the other video of Petula Clark's version on kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXevgpl_r9udrZo , you can see that they almost literally put her in a cowboy movie like the one that I just described. Yee-haw! 🤠

Nice job on the original English rose, a type of woman that has mostly disappeared in the UK through the years. I preferred this style to the Downtown years in the mid 1960's.

Petula had a million seller with this in France before Peggy March released her English version in America

The instrumental version called "Chariot" was the original, released in 1961. Then there was the version with French lyrics (also "Chariot"), which Petula Clark recorded in 1962 and had a huge hit in France, Belgium, and other markets, before there was an English-language version, which had entirely different lyrics and different meaning. Little Peggy March had the enormous hit in the U.S. with that version in 1963.
