Bassy is a singer, not a stage/film actress but she is Welsh as is our Petula, known this lady since she was a little girl at the BBC. Even Petula would say that Bassy beats her on the very long loud songs.

Petula Clark is a Worldwide Mega-Star Pop Star,Film Actress and Musical Theatre Actress of the highest calibre. Apart from her vocal talents what else can Bassey bring to the table. Petula Clark is a around entertainer because her back catalogue of over one thousand songs allows her to sing all genres of music while Bassey is a "one trick pony" in that respect. For me the best song Bassey ever recorded was Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me and the Bond theme Goldfinger. Also the song about the Pr ........Big Spender. After that I haven't a clue about whatever else she sings. Bassey is far too full of her own importance for me.

PATULA CLARK is an outstanding artist and performer and is also a AA singer. In other words she is one of those artist that can sing ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING and whatever she does sings she makes it"her own". For example on this You Tube upload she sings"You've Got A Friend" (written and originally sung by James Taylor)and she does her own take on it....And it works superbly. On another You Tube upload she sings "My Guy"(the Mary Wells classic)and Petula smashes it out of the stadium. WOW!!!! I LOVE YOU PETULA.
