Late to the party but I got to say that Petula Clark is 3rd in the line of my all-time favorite female pop singers, 1st being Judith Durham of the Seekers, and 2nd being Karen Carpenter.

I've watched Petula rehearsing. She most certainly is a perfectionist. I remember one time, at Croydon, she was doing a new song, and she heard a wrong note. I've got good musical ears, but I didn't hear it. She stopped the band and sat with her MD looking at the music together till they found the offending note and then Kenny changed all the music, while Pet chatted with us... then back to a more perfect version of "Heaven's Door".

By the way, in Lennon's last days he became conservative n even bashed socialism in interview. His killer called him hypocrite for singing imagine no possessions while dying with 200 million in the bank. Just saying. Watch lib media.
