no, a greek company makes a kit that turns the 106 GTi engine in to an 1800cc from 1600cc. They supplied a special billet crank with forged rods and pistons :)

You say it's a cup car BE4? From a 106 cup car I guess? That was a good find! Does it vary much from a be4r from a Picasso? What driveshafts do you run, are they still 106 splines hub end and Be4 at the diff end? Can a standard 406 nsf shaft be used if you run the bigger hubs? Could I ask any more questions? Your car is serious my good man. More videos please!

Its just been turned away from the track @ Oulton for being too loud so no good footage yet :( I would definitely go the Paicasso casing. The angle of the Cup box diff is slightly different, so will not let you run a middle bearing and carrier on your long drivers side shaft. Forcing you to find a looooong and expensive cup shaft. Even then, its not as good because of torque steer. I already have the shafts made up for the Picasso and will be swapping all the internals from this cup box, in to a Piacasso box at some point. Seems a much better way of getting BE4 on a 106/sax. The guy I bought the box from had some hubs from a Peugeot 206 machined to fit the 106 bearing along with a little shim/spacer. I think you can use a couple of different standard shafts for the short passenger side but you need to get one made for the long drivers. Hope this helps :)

How long did the engine swap take and any customs things needed for just the swap? And any Pacific gearbox ? (Street car not race car)

The only 100% custom built bit you need is the drivers side driveshaft, if you are not using the Peugeot Cup Car gearbox and just a standard BE4 box. Also the bracket that holds the Rotrex on is specially made, but can be bought from GMC Motorsports in Scotland. Its a 106 block and head so the motor just bolts in :)

Hi, not sure if you mean lightweight panels or the headlight? Headlights are Morette with the inside light swapped for a vent. All the metal outer panels have been replaced with a woven e-glass (modern fibreglass) apart from the roof. Windows all plastic but not the windscreen. I hope thats what you meant :D

Hi, I think the engine compression ratio was something like 10.1. The pulley was the largest 110mm and it made 0.5 bar of boost. I swapped it for a 95mm and now it makes 1.1 bar. 95mm is as small as I could go without massively over spinning the Rotrex at max revs. I hope this helps you :)

12.1 - thats quite a high ratio for a boosted engine. what pulley do you mean (0,4 or 0,8) ?? I am talking about the pulley that is on the actual Rotrex unit, not on the engine. My engine/crank pulley is 138mm.

the measures of the pulley do not know, but I own two pulleys that give the pressure at 0.4 and another 0.8 .... but I do not know if it 's too the compression ratio, and I do not know if he lighthouse' damage ..

Light weight, the handling of the 106 and the reliability of the TU5 engine, i think that is just the right car.
