Peugeot 206, how to replace the starter motor!

Let's do some more work on my daily driver, a Peugeot 206 Sport 2005. I will show you how I replace a starter motor on a Peugeot 206. Unfortunately the quality is not as good as in my Japanese cars that I've had previously and currently. The starter motor is going out, because it can't handle hot starts.
Initially I thought it had to do with battery connections or the charge level of the battery. So from parking the car I had to wait about one hour before I could start it again. Of course it was dependent on driving style and climate as that changes how much heat the starter is exposed to.
Since we are heading towards summer the situation will not improve so I decided to bite the bullet and replace the starter motor.
The starter I bought was a cheap one but as you see it looks ok and the only modification I needed to do was to make a small cable in order to skip cutting anything.
I did not look through any guides or anything before doing this which I guess you can understand while watching this episode. This is the reason why I raise and lower the car multiple times.
The space to work in is quite small and dark so I apologise for it being hard to see the details of this work.

Well, a bit of constructive criticism, the video quality is good But no one can actually see what your actually working on except from the title. is the solenoid at the top or the bottom all we see is your hands moving but your also not saying anything as to what's happening.

Hard to see what you are doing, but it is not your fault. It is impossible to see the starter motor because it is so far behind the engine. I did it on a 206cc with the 16 valve motor. Not easy.

@@SqEngineering the pug left me stranded with the starter doing one click only when turning the key. I replaced the starter assembly with a new one thinking that would get it fixed and it is quite frustrating it doesnt solve the problem. Battery terminals were cleaned also
