I have exactly the same one with 1,6 HDi engine. Car is just great. Comfortable, spacious, fuel consumption is great!! The only thing what makes this car worse is its electronics. Especially COM2000 unit (levers for wipers, turn signals, radio controller, horn, airbag etc), EGR vent for 1,6HDi engine and a very short lifespan of particular filter. If these things are OK or you have just repaired them, you have a very good vehicle no matter what most of the people says about French automobiles.

Same, I've had the car for almost one year, my brother used it four years before me and it never let anyone on the road, not once, and the car was crashed, had steering problems and after all that stuff it has never once failed

What a funny car and a funny story about it. My friend who's a mechanic (specialised in electronics :D) bought 307 sw 1.4 brand new on a bank loan. After 5000km the car has been at the dealer 4 times, every time an electronic problem. Repairs sometimes took over a month.. 20000km, the seats started falling apart, but Peugeot said that's not their problem. After that, he started repairing the car itself and lost the warranty. But the dealer was useless so he didn't care. After 50000km he replaced almost every bit of the car except the engine, and cursed the day when he bought it. But, luck found him. Many other fools in the area bought the same car and even now after 10 years he has loyal customers :)

I've a 1.4 gasoline, 90hp, from 2005, with just 38.000 km. ZERO problems. Consumes average 6.7 LT. I use daily a scooter to commute...

we had a 2003 307 sw 1.6 premium pack between 2006-2010 and it was very good car, it was very comfortable but have some electronic problems. we had lots of peugeots (106, 307 sw, 407, 508, 2008, 308) and i drove lots of peugeots. i have a 2015 peugeot 308 1.6 bluehdi and i love my car.

I don't see why the car was criticized for its suspension, it's far more comfortable than the 306 (which was already good in the first place, and I know because I own a 306).

Deze hebben mijn ouders en ze hebben aan onderhoud de auto nog een keer betaald, maar wij hebben geen problemen met de elektronica en we hebben hem nieuw gekocht in 2003

Hoi Autoblog, Wij hebben al een paar jaar een Peugeot 307 sw met een 1.6 110 PK (benzine), maar bij mij viel al meteen op dat het motorgeluid heel hoog klinkt (fluitend en niet als een automotor). Dit word ook als maar hoger bij het gas geven en gaat niet weg. Weten jullie wat het kan zijn en of het kwaad kan? Groetjes

Indien dit een wagen is met een turbo, ligt het hoogstwaarschijnlijk aan de turbo. Zoniet zou ik denken dat er ergens wat verlies (scheurtje) is in het luchtinlaatcircuit (ergens tussen de filter en het motorblok). Gewoon even in de garage laten nakijken, voordat er ernstigere problemen van komen.

I drive those for work every day (normal, estate, some facelifted versions), and I wouldn't buy any of them with my own money, ever. Lousy build quality, unfinished parts all over, suspension crashes over anything but is soft/mushy at the same time. Diesel engines are OK, but the manual transmission is very poor in usage. On every one there is something wrong with the front suspension, weird noises when starting but everybody says it's normal, even the official service. And yes, they are at the service all the time... I laugh when someone goes by trying to look smart/smug/expensive/hipster in that peace of crap on wheels :)

I had one post-facelift MY 2007 1.6 petrol. and was one of the best cars I've ever had. I bought new and sold to a friend that sold with 100k km without any issue. My wife has a 2011 C4 1.6 petrol, virtually the same car and it has some suspension noises. Both cars has some characteristics I don't like - high fuel and oil consuption - but is shaded by the cars quality - and price - mainly when bought second hand, as they are really cheap compared with a Ford Focus that is not a high quality car, also.

1.6 HDI met 109pk. na 2 maanden snel doorverkocht met veel verlies, De slechtste auto die ik ooit heb gehad, problemen: turbo, airco, electronica, dubbel massa vliegwiel. koppeling gaat zo zwaar dat frame die ook de rem deelt ombuigt. Tijdelijk wegvallen motor vermogen bij rustig rijden, tijdelijke storing in de EBE komen en gaan. radio/navi valt uit met storing: onbekende storing. storing emissive. ect ect. Lucht filter vervangen duurt een half uur, wordt door de dealer(s) niet vervangen!! Speakers zitten in het plastic van de deur ipv het staal, deur rammelt helemaal. Geen franse slag meer voor mij.

Hoezo heb je er ooit een gehad mijn vader heeft een BMW E30 en een Honda Accord gehad en hij zegt dat de 307 SW de lekkerste auto is waar hij ooit in heeft gereden ik ben zelf 14 en rij er soms ook mee een super auto lekker stil hij rijd 1 op 15 dus ook zuinig en hij is niet al te duur als je een goede hebt
