Peugeot 308 1.2 THP 130 GT Line Review

Hello and welcome to the review of Peugeot 308 1.2 THP - we will be talking about the design, the way it drives, the comfort, the refinement and also practicality. in the end we will also show you some quirks about the car. So lets get started!

First of all let's start with a design which I think outside is pretty awesome. The GT Line trim looks very stylish, it's got the typical signature Peugeot cues in the front lights "teardrop" and cool rear lights with 3 LED bars. The general shape tried to mimic a bit Volkswagen Golf which is not a bad thing, but they managed to keep their own styling language - easily noticeable when you see one in the rear view mirror.
Inside the funky dashboard is in the league of its own - complemented with small, flat top and bottom steering wheel. Wasn't sure if I will like it but honeslty - leved it!
The only downside is the infotainment system which has all the expected features but the touchscreen is a bit unresponsive so need to be careful when driving.

The engine and handling - the 2 things that I would buy the car for. Simlpy stunning for a car like this. Blown my mind, goes like its on rails (especially in the corners), engine purring sweet at higher revs. Those Michelin's definitely help but also that small diameter steering wheel and rev happy engine. The amount of fun for the price is practically unbeatabale. Really big fun to push the car to the limit of grip in the corners. Try it :)

Great review! Do you still have the car? Wondering how you still feel about it after a longer term. We're considering getting a 2018 1.2l 130bhp petrol - I think that's the same engine you have? Would you still recommend it, please?

Tough choice honestly, but I dont think you will be disappointed with 308.

308 is a huge step of 207 imo. But only get it if you can afford it, that's the only important factor.

Don't be put off by the 1.2 engine. I have the same engine in my DS4 and unless you are some smack head boy racer, this is ample quick enough. A lot of mid range torque and easy to overtake if needed.

Exactly, this engine at least will visit higher rev range on a daily basis without breaking the law (that often 😃)
