Changing the headlight bulb or the turn indicator bulb on the right or left side of the 308 or 208 is a pain in the a$@! There is no room at all to work within the engine compartment. Very poor design for a user replaceable part. Most other car manufacturers (European, American, Japanese) make this routine maintenance much easier and faster to perform! Honestly, if Peugeot can't get this right, then what other supperises are to be found. The owner's manual doesn't even cover this procedure. Does the fuse box not have a fuse legend indicating the circuit function (just kidding i'm sure it does ;)? It's just an unnecessary annoyance and will definitely make me think twice before purchasing another Peugeot car. KC

Changing HID on the driver side of an Suzuki Kizashi.. bumper + headlamp needs to be removed. :(

I feel you dude. I have a 2016 Peugeot 308 and a Volvo C30 2011. I don't believe how much easy can be to change the bulbs in Volvo than Peugeot. In the C30 you can extract a headlamp literally in one step. A sea of difference.

My thoughts exactly! I won't buy another bloody Peugeot after this ridiculous exercise in extreme frustration. Try changing the effing battery too...another needlessly complex procedure

Thanks to this video I managed to change the left headlight bulb just now (308SW from 2008). It was still a painful experience though. Tip: practice installing the bulb with the bad one that you are replacing, in case you drop and break it on your first try. Also, even if you don't need to, practice with the right side bulb where it's easier, so you can get familiar with the fitting. While practising, I inserted the bulb slightly twisted, and it got wedged in tight. I couldn't get it out at all. It was impossible to grab with my fingers; I tried threading a wire through the holes to have something to grip but that didn't help; it was impossible to reach with pliers or screwdriver. In the end I realised if I reattached the cable to the bulb I could grab that, and with that I was able to pull it out. You really have to be careful to get the flattened part of the bulb fitting aligned to the top - make sure it's in place before you replace the wire holders. The tip in this video about pushing the wire holders in at the same time as pushing them outwards is key to getting them off. Even so, it is going to hurt the tips of your fingers (I didn't have suitable gloves). Great video - thanks!

Very helpful. Just a tip: since you can only strap the light before you connect it to power, be careful not to drop your bulb. That happened to me (noob) and recovering it took about 90% of the total time...

Pozdrav. Ako moze jedno pitanje. Koristio sam led sijalice sa ventilatorom te prilikom skidanja iste i pokusavanja da je odvrnem slomio sam nosac sijalice. Tačnije onaj dio koji se nalazi unitar fara se jednostavno odlomio na jednoj strani. Sta da radim? Moram li mjenjati komplet far ili? Hvala
