Starting with the exterior, the Peugeot 408 sure is something special. Some say it even looks like a Lamborghini Urus, do you agree?
Inside, the dashboard is a high-tech holographic command center, with a small and low positioned steering wheel. And for some reason, it really works once you get used to it.
Under the hood, the 408 Hybrid combines electric and petrol power, providing a balanced mix of performance and eco-friendliness. This setup delivers smooth acceleration and efficient city driving, with a focus on reducing emissions.
You lose some space, but the trunk space still is quite generous for a hybrid model, easily accommodating luggage, groceries, sports equipment or a bunch of family members.

Peugeot would have returned to the United States/Canada had it not merged with FCA. With the merger, the group already had a presence in the United States, so there was no need to spend money setting up a new brand unknown to the locals. This is a pity, as Stellantis is now increasingly cloning its models. PSA's originality is changing to become an unlimited recycling of what already exists, as FCA used to do... Little investment for maximum immediate profitability... And in 10 years we'll have abandoned brands, outdated technologies, and we'll start again by absorbing another manufacturer to strip away. 🇨🇦

Yeah, the BMW jokes are on another level... but isn't the C40 Google based? Google should have some solid jokes :). 7.7 is to 62 mph, but still not a rocket.

I saw an 408 this morning, the design is really special but good and surprisingly, the height of the 408 (1 478 mm) is less than the 307 (1 544 mm) (the car I have so this is why the comparaison)

@@johnnypovdrives I don't find the explanation, but apparently the 308 and 408 was developed together for pooling costs the most expensive parts like the hood, the headlights etc. I think the 308 was released first because the car is the most waited car of Peugeot at that time and the income should come the fastest.

The only resemblance I see is the sharp edge in the door, that kinda looks like a CHR. But the 408 is a long & big car, the C-HR a compact SUV crossover thingy. Also not sure who designed their car first, Peugeot or Toyota 😄
