I just cannot undertand the pricing Euro 43K for a 1.2L!!!!!! Hybrid and Euro 43K!!!! after subsidies for an EV version....How are normal working class people affording these prices for what really used to cost in the low to mid 20K's especially from Peugeot. I am buying used 1 to 2 years old and saving a huge amount but thats what I am relegated to due to the absurd prices now. These new car prices especially in Ireland seem a bit too much. Not a slight on you Nobby as you are always great and entertaining....

Taxes and duties have been added to all ICE. BEV not cheaper the price of the ICE has just gone up.

Agreed, because ice cars are more in demand and are better cars, the demand for ice cars, especially second hand, will go through the roof.

Great video and car.Unfortunately, I have really 2 really bad examples with EV depreciation around me. ID4 paid 51 000e after 3 years, same garage offered 22 000. Audi Q4 E-tron 58 000e after 3 y 25 000e.Hope some things will change in the future .Good luck.

I am sorry Mark, but no matter how wonderful that car is I couldn’t buy it because of the stupid alloy wheel design. Just why. Also, wouldn’t it have been so lovely of they had taken the lower screen and out in proper hvac controls. You know, like in the old days before everyone took their design ques from Tesla. 😊 As a,ways, great review.

Yes, there is, in Balkan EV chargers are at the level of statistical error...I live in a building....Very often it happens that I have to make 800+ km unexpectedly and in the shortest possible time... EV thanks, but not thanks ☹. And most of the electricity in the Balkans is produced from coal.

The whole thing is a giant con. ICE prices being jacked up to make EV's 'look' cheaper. For me at least, it doesn't matter. I'd never buy an EV whatever the price. My last two cars have been new ICE. I'll go second hand ICE next time if I can't buy or afford new again. The car markets are in such a mess right now all because of government mandates. I'll add that this Peugeot is a stupid price whatever the propulsion type. The world has gone bonkers.

Stellantis are in massive shit over EV's depreciation. Buy this EV back & prepared to be shocked at what the main dealer will offer. Hybrids are the only way to go.

Hybrids make no sense. If you’re having range-anxiety or there’s poor charging infrastructure where you live - buy an ICE. If not, go all in on a real EV.

@@ic2433 these cars were never 70k to begin with. Mid 40s, not gonna see the same levels. Most are bought on PCP with a guaranteed future value etc

90% are leased - it’s the monthly payment that matters. It is affected by depreciation but then there will be big discounts to fleets so likely these will be a reasonable amount to lease. Very very few people will buy these for cash.

It also depends on how long you keep the vehicle for. Kept long the depreciation of EVs eventually matches the internal combustion version.
