Peugeot - How to update the Software

There aren't any new features that I can see - so I guess it's just bug fixes (I have emailed Peugeot to see if they can tell me - I will keep you posted)

I have emailed Peugeot customer services about various different issues - the replies are mainly the same “please contact your local dealer” not really very helpful 😞

I can’t believe you’ve made this look so easy! I’ve had a nightmare with mine, the car saying the files are corrupted etc. Still haven’t got it done despite hours of trying! Did you Peugeot app update the USB stick for you? My app seems to just stop once the download has finished. I’ve been trying to copy the files over to the usb manually after unzipping them. The Peugeot instructions are dreadful

Sorry to hear your having problems. I downloaded the update via the Peugeot software on my computer which then formats the usb stick and transfers the data to it. If it saying the files are corrupted I would try a different USB stick.

Had same nightmare as you . Started using Mac but that kept freezing on download then froze when eventually downloaded everything. Redid on Windows and managed to get files and unzip them . Make sure you put only SWL folder and the other file on USB stick , not the folder that contains them ( if that makes sense )

Hi, I'm facing with the following issue on my Peugeot 2008 Allure Premium (2021) - without sat nav option: - till yesterday, the Android Auto was working ok; - today, the infotainment system says: "NAVIGATION SYSTEM ABSENT". Already made a "factory reset", changing phone cable, disconnecting the battery but none of these help me out. I always used the original cables + my Samsung S9 & S10 phone's. Thus, any help will be much appreciated. Thx

I've had a problem with this update too. I have done everything the Peugeot update has told me to do and keep getting the 'USB key isn't compatible with this vehicle' message, despite me trying with several usb sticks and even purchased a new one! Garage not helpful and Peugeot Customer Service don't seem to have a clue! Anyone help?

You should get a notification on the phone app (or if look on the vehicle page it will tell you) when updates are available for your car.

I think I would do one at a time - some one has previously commented that they tried to do both at the same time and had problems.

There's a problem with the Software Peugeot Update, I don't know why after downloaded all updates the Application will be frozen in the formatting files page. I've waited for 2 days but it still showing formatting in progress... it isn't a problem regard a speed of the computer, on that i can be sure (rtx2080+intel i9).

You could try uninstalling the software and downloading it again then reinstalling it

@@CoastalEV Thank you for your answer. I've found the problem, it was the usb stick. I used a 64GB usb stick with exFAT sistem, but from what i have read on peugeot website the car sistem recognizes only the FAT32 sistem which has a maxium size of 32GB, so back to what I have said before during the formatting phase the application freezes because 64GB usb stick is too big to be transformed into FAT32.

Can you leave the car while it's updating? And will it stay on? Depends on how long it takes, but I'm not a very patient person haha

You need to have the ignition on. If you are just doing the software update it takes about 30 minutes and you shouldn't use the car while it's updating.

No, unfortunately there are no new functions with the new software that I have seen.

I've done this one today before I did the NAV update, the reason for updating this is because I'm getting activation not possible when trying to set speed for cruise control. I've got GT trim. Been scratching my head on this. Any idea? Thanks

As far as I’m aware the software updates are only for the media screen function’s - mine has said that message before I think it had started raining so the camera couldn’t see properly. Is the windscreen in front of the camera misting up?

@@CoastalEV I found that the settings for comfort/ambient lighting wasn't there before the update. that's the only thing that I noticed.

by the way, I'm now looking to get a 3PIN plug cable. there are so many out there....as I'm new to EV, it's so confusing. Be good if you can do a vid on this if you know much about it. Thanks

Great idea for a video - Peugeot do their own but it you want a smart one a lot people seem to like the ohme charger - www.ohme-ev.com
