I could play chronojail-era Chrono at it's most convoluted with the most internal cooldowns on traits to track but this weapon and Ele is too big brain for me. Happy for all the Ele mains out there

I'm really excited for all these new weapons, but seeing as you'll be able to play them from the get go when you make the class, I'm concerned that they new "mechanics" for the new weapons will make the original game set of weapons lack luster in comparison. Why would a new ele player want to use scepter when pistol has cool aditional mechanics? Same with the double mace ranger - why use something else when you get a new mechanic from the get go without an elite spec* I know these weapons like others are situational at the end of the day, I'm just worried!

Those weapons will be locked behind the weapon master training isn't it ? So if you don't talk to the special guy at the beginning of SoTO you won't have access to those weapons with a fresh account ? Feel free to correct me as I don't really know if I'm correct or not

My guess is that they'll revamp old weapons after this. some are long overdue. In fact, the small adjustement we have seen to core traits and core weapons since Soto really suggests that now that elite specs are no longer in the making,they'll focus on those

@@kevlap017 though I am worried they will be tooo focused on it needing a “gimmick” or “mini game.” I think getting too wrapped up in that may make some weapons tooo situational, and not great for a broad audience. Even for these weapons being released.

@@KROOF I don't think that's the plan. Otherwise why would they make pistol thief more spammy? They clearly still value some simple to understand weapons. Plus it would take them ages to revamp all weapons to be gimmicks, they'd never bother to do that to more than a few. Like maybe we could see them making aquatic weapons usable on land next, that I could see for say next expansion, but otherwise they are clearly focusing on the core experience now. Next patch they are buffing core shroud 4, life transfer. And giving death magic a boost.They are buffing core necromancer. That's obviously not something they'd do normally. They are also making core mesmer to be much better supports. All indicate this kind of change is what is coming next as well
