It was renamed before release in Japan when the Honda Sweden got the memo about the new model. All the promo material was dumped and it got the name FIT in the rest of the world, in the EU they used the old name Jazz. (I worked at a Honda dealer at the time)

It's weird how Pewdiepie says a lot of words are used like "Fuck", but forgets the actual translation (for the sexual act), which would be "Knulla", and can also be used in a number of ways as a swear word. I'd say that "Fuck" is one of the most versatile words ever, as it seems usable in just about every situation, and as a valid replacement for most other swear words in the English language. Meanwhile, most of the Swedish swear words are more situational. "Knulla" on it's own could work in some cases, but there's usually better alternatives for the given situation. "Fan" in Swedish, for example, is best used as a replacement for "Damn", as it's mostly just a quick way to express frustration, pain or anger when something isn't going your way. "Helvete" is the longer and harsher version, for those times when you stub your toe or hit your thumb with a hammer. As it's literally the Swedish word for "Hell", you can also tell someone to "Dra åt Helvete!" = "Go to hell!" "Fitta" is used just like the English word "Cunt". It could (but shouldn't) even be used the same way Australians do to say hello to their mates. He also forgot "Satan", which is the same as in English, but the Swedish pronunciation makes it a lot more powerful to use for swearing, with a very hard "A" for the first one. "Attans", "Rackarns" and "För bövelen" are extremely mild; more as a comedic replacement when you don't really want to swear in public. Perhaps like "Gosh darn" or "Dammit".

Some additional info: The meaning of "Attans" is lost through time. There might be a connection to a an old Germanic word for "Father", which is the first part of the Gothic name for Attila (the Hun) which means "little father" in Gothic. IF (and that is a big if) "Attans" means "father's". "Rackarns" referres to the assistant of an executioner, a "Rackare" (and the -s is the genetive form so "belonging to a rackare). They were the dreggs of society, did the filthiest jobs no rightious Christian would want to touch with a ten foot pole (like cleaning up execition sites, dispose of bodies body parts, kill horses and dogs, castrations etc) and had a lousy pay. There are several words that derives from "Rackare" and none means anything good. "För bövelen" is actually pretty interesting. "Bövel" comes from "Bödel" meaning executioner and is another word for the devil. So "för bövelen" means "for the devil". This also gives "Rackare" another meaning as it can also mean the assistant of the devil. "Öh! Du! Kom hit för fan" can basically be translated to "Oi! You! Come here for fuck sake". "Röv" comes from old Norse "rauf" (pronounce "rauv") and basically meand a crack, split or divide. It cognates to the word ravin meaning a canyon. One of the funnier combinations this is used in is "rövhatt" meaning "ass hat". Another word for the same thing is "Arsel" (or in definitiv form arsle) which cognates with english "Ass" or perhaps rather "Arse". So "What a fucking arse" would be "Vilket jävla arsle". "Din mamma", your mum, will for the most part not make a Swede bat an eye. It have no meaning for us, other the perhaps as a joke with no real offence. There is a humor scetch where a foreginer says "I'm gonna fuck you mum" and the Swedish guy answers "Oh ok? Yea please do that. It was probably a while since she got layed. Have fun." and it is fun because it is kind of an accurate Swedish response to that. People from another cultural background though, that can be an explosive statement. "Jävla" means "devil's" - so something belonging to the devil. It cones from the word Djävul and the -a ending is an old genetive form, especially in indefintive plural genetive form. Så "Din jävla idiot" means "You devil's idiot". "Fitta" means cunt. It cognates with the Swedish placename "fittja" meaning swampy, wet grassland. It comes from the old Norse word "fuþ" [futh] which can still be found in some English dialects (Kent?). So "Din jälva fitta" is much much closer to "You fucking cunt" then "You fucking pussy" (which has a undertone of coward the cunt do not have). "Helvete" means "Hell" but comes from "Hels vite" meaning the punishment of the old norse mythology goddess of the underworld/realm of the dead, which is name Hel. The underworld is also named Hel so the exact details of the meaning is a bit fuzzy. Is it the punishment odin gave the goddess? Or is it a punishment dealt out by the goddess? Or is it a punushment to be in the realm of the dead (instead of being among the living or in Valhall)? Hard to say. I could easiely see the origin be somewhere along the line of "This is [as bad as] Hel's punishment". The phrase "Go to hell" is in Swedish "Far [du] åt helvete" which literaly transkates to "[You] travel towards Hell", but carry the exact meaning of "Go to hell". The [du] is an variation often used in the north of Sweden which have a bit more emphasis and is there a bit "pointier" and more delibirate. I guess the equivalent in english would be "_You_ can go to hell". "Fan" is yet another word for the devil. The phrase "Men det var då fan" literary word for word translates to "But that was then devil". However as a english equivalen I would rather use "But for fuck's sake". A common way to express this is to add a "också", meaning "also", in the end: "Men det var då fan också". This give it kind of the meaning "But then there was the devil also"; just when you thought you were inbtge clear of bad thing then there was, like a a "rotten cherry" on top of all bad thing, the devil also, adding to all the bad things. You can also combine these words into longer curses: Satans helvetes jävla fitt rövhål - I leave it up to you to translate; have fun 😄

"Fitta" is more like c*nt. It's quite a strong swearword and can be offensive so I wouldn't advise you to use it in Sweden. It is always diffficult to gauge these things correctly in a second language. "Fan" and "jävlar" are the most common swears. Similar in meaning to "hell" and "damnation" but perhaps used when a modern Brit would say f*ck.

Swedish swear words are usually around the devil or hell. Helvete = hell. Fan = the devil. Though, of course, they are just used to show frustration. In the beginning he used the 'soft' words, that no one will be offended by. För bövelen is very old, like centuries old. He forgot "SKIT" = Shit. But often we pronounce it in English, probably because there is more 'weight' in the English SHI-sound

@@olsa76 Yes, but many older people don't like you to say 'shit' for example in the kitchen, etc. They are really listening to the meaning of the word, and not the expression of frustration. There are many other things you can say in front of children, e.g. Attans, Katten också,

It's funny how he chose to include "attans" and "förbövelen" which is super mild and barely used, while excluding "skit" which is way mor frequent and a a bit harsher. Directly translated it's "shit". Either you use it as an exclamation like "skit också!" (Like "damn it!") when something goes wrong, or as a a prefix that reinforces a word like "jag skulle aldrig köpa en sådan skitbil" (I would never buy such a shitty/crappy car"). Or "Hon är skitsnygg!" (she's damn hot!") I would also say that "fitta" as a swear word is more like "cunt" than "pussy". Btw, you pronounced "din mamma" almost perfectly! 👏

Like someone else commented, most "real" Swedish swearwords are based on religious terms revolving around the devil and hell. Only immigrant groups use insults revolving around somebody's parents and/or lineage - so PLEASE don't ever use those, it makes you instantly sound uncultured. Pew does not really make for a great example of somebody swearing for real, from the heart. Normally a Swede is pretty quiet and reserved, so if you hear somebody shout (or slightly raise their voice) "FAAAN" it makes you turn your head to look at the commotion. I would typically use that as "damnit", like you stub your toe while in a hurry or something like that. "HELVETE" (literally HELL) is more of a "bloody hell, things are going to shit" kind of expression, with the word it self best said as a low grumble for effect. "JÄVLA" (Demon/Damn) is best used as a word describing another word, with a popular companion being "SKIT" - literally translating to "DAMN SHIT".

Also, swearing is mostly not a big thing in Sweden, as long as you stay away from words such as "fitta", not because we don't mind hearing the word itself but it shouldn't be associated with something negative. Speaking for myself, the ones I use and hear the most are: "Fan, helvete, satan, fuck, and damn or damnit (so, the last to are not Swedish, obviously) .

Attans - Literally means "The Father's" Atta is an extremely Archaic word for father. Rackarns - Literally means "The Brat's" Förbaskat - derived from Barsk meaning to be rough, loanword from German. Literally means "enough to get angry over". Förbövelen - compound of För Bövelen lit. meaning, for the Executioner. Wasn't always an expletive. Röv - The very much informal word for buttocks. Not a swearword in my region, as the formal word doesn't really exist here. Scania represent... Rövhål - Hole of the Buttocks. Din Mamma - Your Mother, not a swear per say, unless you say it to a so called Blatte(foreigner, not a swear but an insult nonetheless) or Babbe(Arab, also an insult.). Jävla - From Djävul(Devil), it's technically an old typo, it's derived from Djävulars(Plural form of Devil in the Genitive case). Fitta - Lit. meaning moor/bog/swamp never used in that manner though, and I think the female reproductive organ connotation of the word is self-evident with the lit. meaning. Helvete - Lit. Hell, derived from höll meaning hidden, ENGLISH hole also comes from it, the vete part means punishment and is very archaic, modern day word is vite, as vete is wheat. Fan - lit. The Enemy. Also due to biblical connotations associated with the Devil, due to the devil being the enemy. Cognate with Swedish Fienden. Also it's due to being a loanword from Frisian word Fannjen. Which is cognate with old Norse Fenndin. Here's a nice sentence I cooked up... Attans Jävla Helvete vad fan din mammas fitta luktar förbaskat röv förbövelen ditt rövhål. A more friendly construction. Jag finner att modern dins liv doftar likt ett avlopp en varm sommardag min herr.(I find your mother's "life" fragrant like a sewer on a hot summer's day, sir.) And I know which one of these I'd find the most insulting...
