The Israelis wished nothing but peace and prosperity for Palestinians prior to Oct 7th. That days showed what they had wished for us. Now we are completely terrified for the future of our children if we keep Hamas and other haters alive and indoctrinating their aims to kill us all.

I can honestly say i don't get his greatness what so ever imo the most overrated artist in Sweden! Can't sing and when he tries he does it out of tune. No i don't have a beef with him nor hate him never even met him so why would i hate him?! And no i don't envy him i think it's cool that he has become a millionaire from his music. I can give him this that he worked his way up to becoming the biggest artist in Sweden. He began performing at his school then some local bands which gained him popularity and eventually he went solo. He still lives in Gothenburg and has the record for the largest crowd for the largest outdoor arena in Scandinavia that's respect!

To me as a Finland's native man of some life experience, Sisu means the kind of thing going through you when you get badly beaten with knives and hammers maybe, usually fall down and start drifting towards unconsciousness, fainting. But then, before you faint, you snap out of it and become like a bear spirit in springtime, who just was awaken before he should had. Very primal thing inside of you, enabling you to still stand up with single.minded determination and respond. That, to me, is Sisu.

lol, definitely Hesburger is NOT better than McD. Actually a lot inferior quality on the meals - the Hesburger menu/meal, has like 8 pieces of French fries. Also, definitely not the most popular one. Out of the bulk/fastfood burgers, BK is the least bad. Kerroshampurilainen is Hese's equivalent for a BigMac, just way more soggy. Bacon in burger is excellent, but these fast-food joints don't give a shit about the quality, no crispiness ever, just a soggy bacon slice. Proper bacon burgers can be have from grill kiosks and better burger joints.

Wondering if this song has grown on you at all and what you thought about the performance in the competition. Personally, I love it, but a lot of people who didn’t like it at first changed their minds. However people feel about the song, I think their performance was pretty iconic.

I like the best power word in Finland is Perkele. It is the ancient god of thunder of the folks who were here before christians came and said "hey we got Jesus, believe in him" and we said "hey cool, seems like a great guy, welcome to the party with the rest of our gods". I used to think that christians forced us to believe in their stuff, but lately I was corrected and learned that we welcomed them actually.

Nokia brand opn and you can make calls with the same price-quality ratio, other Android phones are also building those 5G networks, and if I understood correctly, you can find network connections built by Nokia in almost every country, but it just the name left if I Unfersantigr right.

Ice blue eyes, very blonde, really pale skin, tall and high cheek bones... I'm the Swedish stereotype. I wear clothes with a lot of color though. My whole family is hunters (both mom, dad and siblings) and i'm the next in line to follow. It's really common to both fish and hunt here in the North of Sweden.

I used to work at a bakery, i've made THOUSANDS of semlor. I have never baked or eaten these types of semlor. Hetvägg is something that only old people eat (according to my experience at least). The "modern semla" in the clip is totally not a modern semla, a semla without almond paste in the middle is just wrong. Just some bread and cream isn't the best experience, you need the almond center (we usually mix it with some of the bread that we got from emptying the bun and a little bit of cream or milk to get a smooth batter) and some powdered sugar on the top. It isn't that hard to bake a regular Swedish semla, the hardest part is making the buns (and they're just regular wheat buns). I don't know if you have almond paste in the stores in England? All the stores here has "mandelmassa" ("almond mass") in the baking department, right next to the marcipan.

There was a funny joke going around when the American rapper ASAP Rocky was in jail here in Sweden (because of him and his bodyguard assaulting a guy). Trump was asking us to let him go. The answer was, of course, no because of the pending investigation. The joke: "I really hope Sweden will let ASAP Rocky go before Donald Trump nukes Switzerland"

The explanation about us knowing more about geography because of shorter distances doesn't fly. Most people in Europe knows where New York, Los Angeles, Brazil and Japan is even though it's far away. Americans does just seem stupid when it comes to geography, I guess it might be a failing education system that's the problem. I really think of the US as a development country.

I wouldn't compare that megahampurilainen to big mac, that's more a job for kerroshampurilainen (lit. "layerburger") which is pretty much what big mac is. Megahampurilainen is bigger, replaces the ketchup with slices of tomato and takes out the onion altogether.
@MarmelaadiJohanssoniКүн бұрын
Although since Dave's megahampurilainen doesn't have visible tomato slices, he might actually have a kerroshampurilainen instead. I can't be sure.

I am a finnish ice bather and cold lover of sorts. One of my dream travelling destinations is Antarctic, the south pole. It's a very big and very cool place, I'd really like to at least once experience what -40C or maybe -50C or even colder feels like. Maybe even take my shirt off there for a moment just to feel how it feels like. We'll see. And oh, you asked about how does the cold feel like. Well... I think the "sharp fresh daggers, tiny thousands of them" is a good description, though it's not a bad feeling really as long as you don't panic and go "omg cold so pain I die" or something. The great guru (or well, he prefers to be called guide because he can't help you if you can't help yourself, base truth there), Paul has coined the term "pain teacher", and what it means is, you listen to your pain, your anger, your fear, etc, and learn what it tells you, see how it reacts to things you do etc, and grow from it. That's the same what spiritual folks call "growth opportunity", which it is, but they leave the "work" part outta it, the "pain" part.

I am from Finland, born and all my life there native man. The coldest winter I was outdoors over an hour in one go was -30C. And I've slept in forests quite a bit in the past, not just during the army time which was nice, but the coldest night in the forest I've spent a night in, was -15C at least, maybe colder, during the night. I felt pretty frosty afterwards when woke up after like 6-8 hours of sleep, even though I'm a finnish ice bath guy. But it was no big deal really, I recovered quite quicky and very fully, think it even made me a bit stronger.

I say hygiene is for pussies. Or people who think that's what keeps the diseases and such away. As if. Sure it makes you catch "less germs" yeah, but you know what that does to you? It gives no workout for your immune system. See what happens to your body, to your muscles, if you just stay in bed all day and eat and then stay in bed rolling a bit and sleeping. And maybe sit at couch and watch TV the rest of the time. YOU GET NO MUSCLE. You get no strength. Everyone knows that. Immune system is like that. You're supposed to make it stronger by introducing it to challenges. That why spending time in the forests, nature, where there's a lot of germs, A LOT, is a great thing for your immune system. That why cold baths are great for immune system. My immune system is such that even 40 degree celsius corona I caught twice didn't feel like anything. I was just fine even with that two-day corona. Twice. Recovered very quickly and barely noticed it. Same with a fever. My cousin on the other hand, is very hygienic and clean and washes his hands after everything all the time. And his immune system is totally weak, shit. He spends very little time in nature, and when he does, he gets all germs and blisters and all if he touches a plant. For f sake, work out your immune system and STOSP WITH THE HYGIENE ALREADY. Hygiene is only for surgery rooms in hospitals, nowhere else. Period, end.

Our Finland's army is called "Puolustusvoimat" in finnish, which translates literally "defence forces" in english. Note that it's "defence" forces, not "offence" forces, not "war" forces. Of course if war comes, we bring all the hell to those who want to burn our woods, pollute our lakes, and oppress us for their petty reasons. However, and this is just me and I know a lot of us finns disagree with me on this one, but! If Russia went to war against us, and the russian military privates started to abandon the russian army and try to escape to Finland to live there free, like they have been doing in the Ukraine war now, I for one would welcome every single russian here as long as they swear a blood oath to respect us and be kind to us. I would give them my own food and money and take one of them to live in my flat without paying rent to me. That's Finland for me. And, if Finland decided to attack any other country for ANY reason, even Russia, I'd just say "fuck it, I got better things you do. Shoot me or imprison me all you like, I'm not interested in petty things like that." Unless maybe if we were conscripted to defend Ukraine from Russia, that's a whole different thing. Mikko!
