I love Finnish slang too, traditionally been a mix of Finnish, Swedish and Russian. But lately been injected with Arabic, and African languages too.

Errr... you missed quite a lot... Denmark's population is only about 6 million people, but it is an extremely "overpowered" country compared to the rest of the world. Maybe Worth mentioning the biggest company in europe is Danish (novo nordisk) and that this company makes about 50% of the world's insulin. About the highest living standards in the world. Britain is a "developing country" compared to Denmark.... well almost all nations on earth is

We’ve contributed with some great music. Rednex is puzzling.., We’ve always had a love for westerns. Maybe that’s why. I have MUCH respect for Abba, but my favourite Swedish band is definitely The Ark. I’d LOVE you to react to ”It takes a fool to remain sane” and/or ”Calleth You, Cometh I. You’re doing very well, my friend. 🥂

The caps on the bottle are attached so that when the bottle is recycled, the cap is recycled with it. If you're going to Stockholm, you can go on a boat ride around in the Stockholm archipelago, if you really want to see some islands.

A lot of confusion here. Old english and old norse were closely related languages. So much so that they may have been mutually intelligible. So there are two sources of similarity in vocabulary between modern english and the scandinavian languages - actual borrowings of norse words from the viking era and (the bigger source) words that descend from the common ancestor language proto germanic. Plus the scandinavian languages have borrowed english words more recently.

11:50 Swedes have two different settings: 1) Trying to avoid conflict as much as possible for as long as possible. 2) When it finaly boils over, which usually take a really really long time (unless alcohol is involved ofc), they go all in. Someone said that Swedes are like a school of fish, they all go in the same direction and then all of the sudden changes the direction very quickly, still in unision. This can be seen in politics as well. The ones in power in Sweden have since at least 1809 strived to avoid the Swedish public to ever reach setting 2. Hence Sweden did not have a violent socialistic revolution (even though there were big fears it would go that way) but gradual democratic social reforms instead. That is why Sweden have a constitutional monarchy were the monarchs power is pure symbolic. But the drastic change of direction in unision can also be seen in later political decisions like when Sweden suddenly and drasticaly changed migration policies in 2015 and then suddenly and drasticaly changed security doctrine and joined NATO - the list can be done long. Slow to act but delibrate and desicive when finally acting sums it up pretty well. So a _wild_ strike is a meassurement on how bad stuff had become. It speaks absolute volumes!

Some years ago southern Sweden had a pretty big reggae scene with Peps Persson, Svenska Akademien, Kung Kodum and a lot of other bands. Denmark also has a lot of rap and hiphop. Natasja was the undisputed queen as she was the first non-jamaican to win the Red Strip Contest. Sadly she died in a car accident.

In each Systembolag there is a fixed range of around 2,800 drinks that are controlled in their own laboratory. They also have several temporary ranges that vary throughout the year. In addition, there are around 14,000 drinks available from various suppliers, which you can order and receive within a few days. How many varieties are there in your local store? 😎

-Swedish meatballs consist of 50% beef and 50% pork. There are also chicken meatballs, the cheapest option. But, if you want to try Swedish meatballs version 2.0, choose moose meat! With lingonberries, gravy and mashed potatoes! Meatballs can be eaten with pickled beets or beetroot salad too. For Christmas of course with boiled red cabbage! -Semla is available between Christmas and Easter, although many cheat and sell them all year round, but they are few. -Kalles kaviar is not the best, choose Ejderns kaviar, much more fish roe!!! -Is liquorice made and enjoyed only in countries that eat pickled herring? Licorice candy in Sweden is big. There are shops in Stockholm (Lakritsroten) that only sell liquorice candy, all kinds from sweet to super salty. Liquorice is also available as soft drinks! 😋
