These definitions are typical in investment books, I'll explain. Broke = out of money Poor is a state of mind + lack of money The saying goes that you can get broke multiple times, but you always know how to get out of there. Poor is when you accept that you will be broke forever and don't work on changing your situation. Making money is about productivity of your time, and turning your money into making more money. Meanwhile people that are Poor waste the little money they have in things that perish or depreciate.

@@GameDogLeader21 ... if your definition of happiness is in the “journey” like it is for some people. If you constantly don’t have enough money to buy food, go out, etc. money WILL make your life better. It’s easy to have the whole “True happiness doesn’t come from money” approach when you’ve never seriously had to wonder where your next meal will come from, unlike Felix’s experience, where he COULD’VE gone to his parents. Chances are you’ve never been homeless or food insecure before either. However, I digress, because happiness is ultimately a state of mind. Some things make literally everyone happy (sex, food, etc.) and others are split (pineapple pizza, Rick and Morty). It’s an opinionated topic for sure, but (and this is really controversial) for a majority of people money, even just a little money will make them happy, because it can buy things that make everyone universally happy. It’s laughable to think otherwise.
@GameDogLeader213 жыл бұрын
@@joshuadorsam4619 well its hard to be content without your necessities, but i see happiness as something different. But seriously, he's right about being able to make 1 or 2k pretty quickly. You've got to look where your spending and how to shrink that payment. One of the biggest changes I've made is my phone. I've got a $200 (my most expensive one in a while) phone and a phone plan thats like $15 a month. Most people pay like $40 and buy $1k iPhones every other year. In a year, you can save over $1.5k just by switching services or choosing a less expensive phone. 25*12 is $300
@pop_rox4 жыл бұрын
@@boggless2771 That's not necessarily making money though, that's just cutting off unnecessary payments and saving money from it. Getting a job and working shifts is a whole different story when it comes to making money, especially when you just have a minimum wage job and live off of weekly paychecks.
@longjohn24044 жыл бұрын
I think Timothy had a point though. She didn’t give a valid excuse besides being young and living with her mom. Becoming rich is NEVER easy, and you better expect to be busting your ass if you want to atleast increase your odds of success. Making a couple thousand dollars literally isn’t that hard lol. Just get a minimum wage job and save your money for months... or a year if needed.
@pop_rox4 жыл бұрын
@Generic Guy I wasn't arguing that hard work and applying your skills won't work. People who still have minimum wage jobs CAN still make a thousand dollars, but that has to build up over time because people still have to pay for things like taxes, food, rent, etc. Pewds summed it up perfectly towards the end because he pointed out that even if you have a job and apply your skills, there's always things like circumstances and timing that contribute to your success.

Cuz they're living in their own world! It's like being famous. Ever notice how child actors never grow up to have a normal life? Their behavior was shaped based in the world they were living in and their world will never look the way it does to the rest of us. So they end up with no self-awareness. Hence, can't even answer the question because they make the rules, not us.

A lot of people say that kind of stuff, but at the end of the day, being rich doesn’t change your depression. Because it’s a mental illness. Obviously access to resources such as good food, time to exercise, antidepressants can help. But in most of the western world even lower-middle class people can access these. So being rich in that case (and being depressed) won’t have much of a difference

Well well well. We meet again, impulsive first impression opinion of a 14 year old. You have NO idea why they were doing that. You can use context clues, yes. But have you never been told to think carefully about what you want to say before you say it? If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you to sit down, re-watch the video, and look at that clip in a different light instead of that dim, edgy, blood red emo one. Maybe try something more... Intellectual... Optimistic, considerate, or perhaps even non judgemental. It just might do you a world of good. Hopefully it even teaches you a little lesson.

Having parents that stay togeather is "statisticaly" the number 1 determining factor in determining wealth in later life. There are many other factors as well but obviously the biggest factor is the persons drive and determination so even if you are statistically sopposed to end up wealthy you can still end up a bum on the street and the other way around.
