As an Italian citizen I am struggling to believe these scams even exist. I'm not saying that Italian food is immune from misleading packages or chips bags full of gas, but man I'm glad we have strict quality control laws here! My mother works in food defense and always told me that an error like "100% juice / 27% juice" could potentially cost a lot of money to the company, not to mention that all the goods with that packaging must be destroyed. I did haha but I also grrrd so much. (P.S.: "Raviolo" is the singular of "Ravioli", like, "here's a sad raviolo swimming in a sea of emotionless sugo (tomato sauce)") (P.P.S.: I know it sounds a little bad as a term but "Food Defense" is the name of the department. She and her colleagues are responsible of Analysis and Tracking for incoming and outgoing goods and they make sure everyone follows HACCP and other safety protocols.)

That Proactiv one is not what people think it is. The reason the box is that big while the contents are that small is because the boxes are standardized. It would cost the company more money to set up an entire production line for a new type of box, when they could just use the same boxes they're already making. And that's what they choose to do. There's nothing malicious about it, they probably state the fluid content on the box anyway.

trust me setting up an “entire new production line for a new type of box” isn’t that hard for a rich company. it’s just using a smaller type of cardboard box. yea they probably state the fluid content but they def know they’ll get more sales if the box is bigger dawg

The Chinese toilet paper one seems excessive unless you understand a little something about Chinese public restrooms-- Most restrooms don't even have toilet paper. You're expected to bring your own, because when China was a much poorer country (not all that long ago) people would steal whole rolls of TP from public restrooms and take it home for themselves, so the solution was to stop offering toilet paper in public restrooms. This is still the norm in most public restrooms in China (at least the ones that I've been to). So playing an ad to release some TP is actually an upgrade from the norm and an elegant solution to a problem in a lot of cases.

people who goes to starbucks to do their work, cant really admit they like to be there. instead, when people give an alternative place to do their work, they get defensive.

@@dominickkramer6469 yup, that's what I used when I didn't have wifi or laptop at apt. I would have to buy a drink at Starbucks to use their wifi and was too poor for that. Wanting to get out and experience people in surroundings is one thing, but maybe find a few spots or limit time there. I go to my local coffee shop once a week, generally, and never see the same ppl on their laptops, but always some one or 2 on their laptops. So I guess we just accept it as part of coffee culture now and hey, if they like the place they will come a lot, as long as they buy something I don't mind it.

I wish there was an app or smthn that companies could pitch ideas and designs to the public so that they could review products before they even launch... It'd also be great for advertisements and small businesses.

I think you just came up with an idea called "focus group testing" and yes there are already services for that.

@@amanbeerkhanduja6490 sort of, not really... The purpose of Kickstarter is to crowdfund while gaining popularity, unfortunately it's lethal flaw is that there's no real guarantee that anything will actually come of your funding... I'm describing a public pitch application where companies can reveal ideas for a product and have the idea judged and reviewed by the general public (aka their customers) Kickstarter and GoFundMe work generally the same way but serve a different purpose.

@@che3se1495 ik about focus groups, the whole part of creating a application where companies can pitch ideas to the general public where it can then be reviewed and acknowledged by the potential target group, is to take a general idea and maximize it's efficiency. A mass review platform is just what companies need to connect with their customers desires. Also this is the third time I've written this, my comments keep getting deleted.

If gas stations think about to add ads, it should be a feature like someone who watches the ad should get a discount while someone who choose not to should pay normal price
