Back in the slot and another year of healing. Godwin has yet to regain his explosiveness and I hope we see it this year. Godwin is still a great player, but he was on a different level with the quickness he had before the injury.

It is always brought up that Chris has had reduced production of touchdowns in all reality isn’t that sort of due to the scheme he was forced to play in. Canales clearly did not emphasize him other than third down clutch receptions. I don’t know if Chris was given the same sort of cherry opportunities for TDs That may not have been his role in the past. Am I missing something or I oversimplify?

Drafting Jalen McMillian gives Tampa options. You can only have so many players getting paid above 20M per year. Hate to see Godwin leave but it goes the same for their other recently signed players. If Jalen has a good year then it might just be academic. QB's under a rookie contract frees up money. 33M QB's and decisions get tougher. I am glad we have Baker though.

It was very clear that Canales was stubborn in not using Godwin nearly enough. I'm sure that the stats will be different this season.

Tampa can't afford him unless they wanna be in perma rebuild mode like the Saints. It bites but the objective, concrete move is to trade him while you can still get value out of him before he just leaves next year anyways.

I just don’t get it. You guys have some kind of agenda against Chris Godwin all you do is post video about Godwin not returning to the team and that he’s not the same player when other video show Baker Mayfield consistently missing Chris Godwin wide open all season last year, but you guys want to spend it to Chris Godwin not the same player. I just don’t get it man I just don’t get it.

One thing about you guys when you make your mind up that you have an agenda against a player you’re gonna push that agenda. I seen you do it with Devin White and I can understand doing it with him because he was a selfish player, but I don’t understand all this Chris Godwin hate
