You taught this like 5 separate components, each identical to the other. That made it so much easier to figure out which sides get connector beads. When I tried this star from different teachers it was hard to figure out where the "point" beads and connector beads were supposed to be. Thanks so much for all the thought and energy you put into these videos!!!

Stephanie thank you do much it's so easy to learn from you because you talk slower and you show where the needle goes and zoom in on it I never ever thought I could make this I took it apart 3 times but finally finished. It's a little rough the 1st one but now I'm doing a new one and using the 11/0 like u did it's much easier to zip up. Thank you thank you. You r the QUEEN of TUTORIALS.,!!!! I'm going to make lots and sell them in Nov at our local craft fair you also have a soothing voice which helps a lot with stress while doing a piece.

Love this star! Thank you so very much for doing all the hard work and then, translating it into a very understandable tutorial. Plus, you are able, at least for me, to encourage me enough to get me to give it a go! I have wanted to try one of these for a very long time, and now, by golly, I'm going to go pick out a couple colors of beads and get stitching. Thanks, Stephanie, again, for all you do for your "tubers".

Thank you so much Stephanie! I jumped in a year ago, bought a pattern and made the star but it was frustrating and there are a few mistakes that only I can see. It’s great to watch your tutorial for a smaller, simpler star to learn how they are constructed. I HIGHLY recommend starting this way before trying the more complex patterns with many colors and 15 or more rows. If the pattern is different for each side it can become confusing on which way to fold the warped square and if you don’t do it right the pattern doesn’t match up and with 15 rows it can be next to impossible to invert them so they are correct. Great video!

Great video as always! I've made various stars in year's past and some ideas/tips I can add are 1) vary the color of the peyote beads either side of the fold so the back and front of the star end up two (or more) different colors 2) add a crystal bead to the 5 tips in place of a Delica or seed bead and 3) add a jump ring to one of the tips and make or buy a small stand to hang as a stand-alone ornament to put in a window or on a table. Warning! These are very addictive once you get started!

Grasping the sew together is difficult! You are flipping the pieces over and over again working from front to back then back to front. Look at it more as keeping the 7 beaded side sewn to the 6 beaded side. Much easier and will reduce the frustration 😀🥰

In this video (and in others I've watched) each warped square and, subsequently, the star seem pretty rigid. But, even though I'm trying to keep the tension pretty taut, the squares and the resulting star is quite soft. Any advice?
