Great to see your cylinder arm sewing machine! I like mine. It's also great to see what you are doing with your machine.

I got a similar vintage Pfaff 335 last year and it has been great for stuff that needs has tight curves and awkward angles especially after I did a Servo motor upgrade. I'm gonna have to talk to the folks at Tennessee Attachment Company I think... mine was missing all the binding attachment stuff.

They have like a 500 page catalog so I think they can fix you up.

Very cool machine. and the pneumatic foot with that sound. is awesome. One thing I hate is lifting the foot and after a while your back hurts.

Hello Alexander! Sorry to bother asking, I have a Typical 335 but its not easy sewing leather materials using vegetal leather. Can I adapt a binder to a Adler 169 to use heavy bindings strips? Thanks!!

Great video again! Can you explain what is the downside of using a dedicated binding machine for regular sewing. I am looking for a cilinder arm machine to do regular sewing and binding, and I would like to know what would be my best option. There are various types of old Pfaff 335’s fo sale here in The Netherlands. Thanks for your help!

It is not too bad to sew with one of these but you should know that the drop feed does not oscillate up and down like most machines and you will either have to be OK sewing with binding feet or you will have to switch out the feet for each change. It is doable but perhaps not ideal.

Hi Alexander, great machine. I was told that the binder can be replaced so it can stitch leather as a regular cylinder arm machine. Do you know if this is indeed possible?

Yes, it is possible. It does not have drop feed so perhaps not ideal and there could be some issue there or not depending on your specific project but it is possible.

How wide is the mouth of the binder, what thickness you think can be fed safely trough?

Outside my ability to comment. Like I said, I bought it this way and it works so I use it. If this one breaks down I'll convert it back to manual foot lift and install a clutch motor.😰

Just bought an Adler 69-372, it’s pretty similar to this one. How would you compare both of them?

How much of a difference is there between the Tennessee binder and the ebay ones? I almost bought one from them but I wanted to wait til I get a cylinder arm, and the ebay ones work. They're not great, but they work.

Price is not the only difference. Value, Quality, Performance all differ. Watch as I discuss the topic of cheap parts here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2fImYGebsp7lZosi=e7GmDPlDjKQqK_OF Also some more binder options here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWSTZIeDhq1jY5Isi=kLww5cmARipg1vH1
