Thank you for the info, I have a 2170 and did not realize it is very similar to the 2140, there is some great basic tips and instructions in this video that I have not seem before, it was very helpful!!!!

I was looking for the dongle, I saw the tutorial and I was surprise. Very helpful after so many years. I own two 2140 and and a 2144 I enjoy sewing and embroidering with them. I like them because they are designed and manufactured in Germany as the last ones. One 2140 the light screen doesn't come on. Technical support said it is hard to find parts or are very costly. Do you know of any way or where to repair the screen light? Thank you for your attention.

This is useful. I found one of these, looks new in the box, in the garbage. I have no idea how to sew but could maybe sell or donate it.

I have had my 2140 for 20 years and it's still going strong. Does anyone know if there is a program that allows me to connect it to a mac computer??? and if not, is there a way for me to get software that will allow me to plug the USB PC card directly into a PC through the USB end? My old computer died and my connection programs are too old to put on the new computers.

My work just found an old 2144 embroidery machine but I cannot find thing about have to connect it the computer program that can be downloaded for it. Any chance you could point me somewhere?

I guess I should have added that I have the old software but it's on 3" floppy disks😰

Sadly replacement parts no longer being made. I wish this machine still an appropriate investment. I would love one of these but not if it cannot be repaired if necessary.

I have a 2140 that I bought used in 2009 from a Pfaff dealer in Illinois. I still own the machine to this day and still sew on it everyday. It’s never failed me once and you can still find parts. Most Pfaff dealers will still work on these older models. I personally do not like the new Pfaff models they have on the market today. I also own a Creative 7570 which is even older than the 2140.
