I purchased this machine a few months ago and have not been able to figure out how to use the embroidery thing, especially with programming, altering and customizing. The manual isn't very easy to follow--I'm much better at following visually. Do you have a video where you show how you do this?

Hi James thanks for these Videos, where can I get these thread holder? Are they available in Australia? We don't have any dealers in the NT so need to order online. I also need some help as to why the machine wont move into the embroidery mode it just keeps asking for the hoop to be attached.
@jamesrogers9912 жыл бұрын
I got mine when I bought the machine. The dealers from the UK may ship to Australia. Have you checked that you are using an original hoop? I have had some issues with generic hoops.

How old is your model and would you say it is a reliable machine. I'm looking at used because my main passion is quilting and I enjoy using the embroidery attachment for edge to edge quilting sometimes. I don't need all the latest and greatest bells and whistles just a machine that has a large hoop and a good reliable straight stitch/free motion ability. Any input would be great since my local store as a used one in stock but I want to make sure above all I'm getting a reliable machine.

Stephanie. I like the machine in many respects. It embroiders well, sews well straight stitch and free motion. Some of the feeding for the fancy stitches is not perfect, but the majority of the stitch patterns are fine. I have some issues with the thread cutter not being perfect -- but I am looking at the to see if I can figure out why it is not 100% reliable -- it just does not always cut but clicking it twice often resolves the issue. Beyond that, if you can get it for a good price, you will likely be quite happy with it.

Hi James will you recommend someone buying a Creative 5.0 today?
@jamesrogers9914 жыл бұрын
My machine is now working well. But you will need to ensure that you service it or you take it to a mechanic to service it from time to time to keep it working well. AND, if you get the thread shredding issue, the fix is simple. If you can get it for a good price, I hope that you can be happy with the machine.

Do you think this machine without the embroidery attachment is worth 1000 dollars? It’s a 2008 model
@jamesrogers9915 жыл бұрын
They are very expensive machines and the sewing capability is amazing -- so if you want all of the features for sewing (sideways sewing, mega stitches) then it is a great machine to have. And you never know, you might happen upon the embroidery attachment one day too.

How do I get back to the position I was embroidering when needle broke?
@jamesrogers9914 жыл бұрын
Click on the plus minus signs to go back stitches. You can also click on the centre part which allows you to jump large numbers of stiches or go to an exact stitch number

Has the machine been reliable to sew with? I'm looking at a pre -loved one atm as a backup machine.
@jamesrogers991 Жыл бұрын
Some of the aspects of the machine are really good. The power supply often fails but is easy to replace. On my machine, the thread cutter is not 100% with embroidery but is 100% with sewing. Some of the stitches which are really wide and/or long are imperfect with adjustments. But for everything else, I enjoy using the machine.

Hello mister James my dream to start project from home but a can't afford to bay embroidery machine can you help me please
@jamesrogers9915 жыл бұрын
Hello, the cheapest option to get you started is the old fashioned way. If you have a standard sewing machine (even only straight stitch) you can do embroidery projects of unbelievable beauty -- look up Marilyn Lee on youtube and you will see the work she has done with a straight stitch machine. If you have a bit more money, get yourself a 20U design machine (like the Singer 20U and my Consew which I feature in some videos). These are relatively inexpensive and speed up the zigzag work. You might find a treadle machine near you, almost all of these do excellent work for embroidery.

how do you line up your design say i wanted to put this on a levies jacket center back ? how do i get the pattern in the right place
@jamesrogers9916 жыл бұрын
I print out the template then put the item over the bottom hoop and make sure the garment is in the right place in the hoop with stabilizer. Then I put the top hoop on and secure the garment. At this point I use the machine to mark out the corners and then I can fine tune the location of the embroidery. Then I stitch out the tack down stitches which helps to double check the location. If needed I can remove all stitches and pull everything out and start again.

ok i not sure how to do that ?
@jamesrogers9916 жыл бұрын
Do you have 6D software that came with your machine? If not, buy something like SewWhat Pro. There are loads of tutorials on printing out the template. Basically, once you load up the image in the software, click print and then select template.
