My first really good machine was a Pfaff that has the IDT feature, and it is unbeatable! No walking foot can even approach it. And wow, that button attachment process is amazing. I’ve tried to help my daughter with some of her cosplay challenges and she loved my machine, too. We gave her a Janome for Christmas and it is a great machine but doesn’t have the IDT. I’m going to be looking to upgrade my machine someday soon and you’ve convinced me to give his a serious look. Thank you!

Happybidr : buy a Janome 6600 with built in “idt”. It sews better and costs 7 times less!

(Psst..Your idt was not engaged when you were sewing all your different fabrics!) Looking forward to seeing what you're going to create with the new machine! Crazy that it can sew through worbla!

Ok, the threader sound is adorable. And it does seem quiet, but binging on netflix through projects quiet remains to be tested.

Great video, you are easy to learn from, hopoefully you do more "how-to" videos for the Icon. I would be interested in a step by step tutorial on how to make a 4"x4"ish or any size really quilt label on the icon. Also can you lower the feed dogs manually other than when in free motion?

My grandma gifted this machine to me and it's way to much for me your tutorial was great but I'm coming from a singer 201 straight stitch can you show me more on how to use this machine.... I'm not that technology advanced

I noticed that when you were working with the leather and warbla, you didn’t have the IDT engaged at all! I was holding my breath but the Pfaff and you came through with flying colors!!! Good job, both.

This is amazing ! I take this machine has a speed control ? I am a beginner upholster and this feature is extremely important to me. I aspire to learn some soft furnishing and many other sewing techniques so as versatile machine as possible would be perfect. My teenage daughter has dress making lessons so she would love to use a nice machine also. Would you recommend it for such use ? I would rather buy something good once than spend a few times ;)

Yes! This machine does have speed control, it is an excellent feature!

Oh, that computer stuff would make my head hurt...oh gosh..computerized sewing machines..I used more a manual for 40 years and my old Phaff broke recently and i hate the computer machines...arggggg...
@alchemicalcosplay51325 жыл бұрын
The computerized machines definitely take some getting used to! But there are some very cool features that come with them as well :) Pfaff still makes some purely mechanical machines, like their Select 4.2. I have that machine as well and just love it! It's great for pure straightforward sewing.

@@alchemicalcosplay5132 Thanks for letting me know. My Tipmatic just died after 46 years of use. I am sewing by hand now. Still looking for the right price and Phaff that I want. Hard to get in the Bay Area, only two store near my home. I will check out the Select 4.2 model while I look online. I really don't like computers on my sewing machine. I just is tooo much. I am on computers daily and don't like spending my creative time with computers. I like Manual cars, not the computerized ones, as I like in my sewing machines. That 1976 Phaff Tipmatic was my baby. Miss her. Great years with a solidly made machine.

@kobear664 жыл бұрын
The suggested retail is between $10-11, 000. Most often Pfaff or your local Pfaff dealer will have a sale/promotion on them. I've seen promos anywhere in the $6,000-8,000 range. (Mine was closer to the lower end of the range during the pandemic shutdown this year.) This machine is definitely an investment but being a sewist/tailor for 30 years I treated myself to a TOL machine. I'm SOOOO glad I did, the machine is awesome!
