This was one of my favorite games as a kid. I remember reading about that Hadouken Capsule in a gaming magazine in the mid 90s as a kid. But they said it required full heath, full weapons, tanks, and etc... I remember I would always try it for hours and and could never get it four times in a row it without shooting a special weapon or taking damage from one of them damn birds on the last jump or missing the cliff jump, and I thought it was the higher mountain part that was above the correct cliff. Finally have the correct answer after over 20 years 🤦🏾‍♂️😂😂

Dude, I think I read the same thing in a magazine when I was a kid. I distinctly remember it saying that you can’t take any damage in the stage or it wont appear. Needless to say, I never got the damn thing. 35 years old and attempting to finally get the damn hadouken ha ha.

An extra tidbit: You can do the three deaths routine BEFORE getting every item. After you've obtained every item the Dr. Light capsule will be waiting there on your first run.

you should have also mentioned that if you're emulating the games such as Wii U or the Wii or pretty much any virtual console will be able to save the game which means you'll have the hadouken no matter what just as long as you save the game using save State (good video)

Interesting fact. The password doesn't save the hadouken, but it does save how many times you played though the level. So if you must reget it, using the password you got after getting it will save time. I remember beating and getting everything in all three SNES games everyday after school for three straight years. lol I was obsessed. Now I play them on my phone with a PS3 controller.

No, you need to kill all 8 of the bosses though, so Chill Penguin, Sting Chameleon etc. and have all the armor parts. You don't necessarily have to kill the bat bot, it just makes it easier to gather lives.

It doesn't have to be after getting everything. You can through the stage (or suicide) four times before getting everything. And that's another thing. You don't have to suicide. The suicide method is just a lot faster than completing the stage four times. Another interesting fact is that the password, while not saving the attack itself, does save how many times you've completed (or suicided) the stage.

A hadouken password exists. Using any password that gets you to 100% items, on the password screen, hold L, R, X, Down, Select, and then Start. Since you have to press 'Down' in the code, the cursor needs to be on the bottom left square of the password menu to do it.

Everyone says the same thing regarding getting the hadouken and they’re wrong. You DON’T have to die. All that is required is that you have all the armor upgrades, Mavericks defeated, sub tanks, and hearts. Then you go to the armadillo stage and ride through it 4-6 times (usually 4) and just “see” the ledge. Just get on the ledge and exit the course with the pause menu. You DON’T have to die. Get on the ledge and exit the course.

Correct. As a kid, I would reach the ledge, and go into the boss room to redo the level. It worked. But dying repeatedly makes it way faster

Hmm different way I do it. All I did was have all power ups and armor. All I did is speed thru level and just collect that last energy 8 times without dying and the capsule comes out

Believe it or not, I was actually the first one to find this. I was just having fun screwing around in the Armored Armadillo stage (I liked riding the cart off the edge and making that jump). Trust me, I never expected that capsule to show up either. I just dove off the edge after getting the energy pellet a bunch and kept doing it (just cause) and the upgrade capsule just appeared there. I was like, whoa, what's that? Went up to it, Dr. Light is dressed like Ryu, and then BAM!!! Mega Man shoots a Hadouken! I then experimented for a short time to figure out how exactly I did it (like what was all needed and how many times you had to grab the energy pellet). Needless to say, I immediately called the Nintendo Game Counselor Hotline and told them about this. Talked to a guy named Lenny W. He jotted down all the stuff, thanked me, and went to test it himself. I called back the next day and he said the thing had spread like wildfire through the counselor's office. It got printed in the Classified Information section in Nintendo Power the next issue. I was Agent #483. The funny thing is I was also the one who first found the Shoryuken in Mega Man X2, AND the Golden Armor in Mega Man X3. I played the crap out of all three of those games back then. Some of the fondest memories from the SNES days.

What if you have all sub tanks, heart tanks, and X armor EXCEPT you have Zero’s arm cannon instead of the Flame Mammoth Capsule. Will it still work? Because I can’t seem to get the Haduken

He said you have to have ALL suit upgrades in addition to all hearts, energy tanks, no exceptions. I know this is fact because had to accomplish all of those things before it would let the capsule appear back in 94' when I first began playing megaman x

I have done this 9 times in a town and the capsule doesn't appear for me. I have everything. The only thing o can think of is that I got the arm upgrade from zero so I could get his "re-armed" achievement. Could that be why?

An alternative to killing the birds is using the rolling shield charge barrier and standing on the left edge of the skateboard so that the miners don't take the shield away.

I just wanted to add that you do not have to have every upgrade first to start the process I thought I had every heart and I did the process every time through and nothing happened so I went back and got the heart I missed in spark mandrills stage, then I went back to start the process again and when I made it to the platform above sparks doors the power up capsule was there with dr light waiting for me in a ken outfit lol I was amazed I didn’t have to do the process all over again after getting the heart I missed!

cool. before I'd complete the entire map all the way to the boss's room and auto teleport, go back into the map another 4 or 5 times and then the capsule would appear on the ledge at the end. I didn';t know about the dying and starting at the check point idea. Thanks..

This entire Hadôken sidequest feels just like something that people would make up; you know, kinda like that myth in "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" about how you had to do a ton of random stupid crap in order to find the Triforce. I can’t get this on snes Classic. I’m at the final sigma level in the main game. Wanted to get hadouken first. I also have been using the powered up sting chameleon weapon each time when on the cart and while making the jump. Not sure if either of those is causing me not to get it

Rassenomatjutut It's definitely possible, but it's harder with a PC keyboard. If you can dash jump, then just dash jump and charge up your weapon at the same time.

This video shows how to get the Hadoken but the way this guy did it, (aside from dieing four times and stocking up on lives) is wrong. First you CAN destroy/fight the mole tank if you want, it makes getting the move easier as the front spikes on it kill you in one shot if they touch you, I recommend using the Flame Mommoth's weapon on both tanks to destroy them quickly, than just get the move as normal and enjoy one-shoting every boss in the game.😁 (Yes it also works on Sigma, but don't know if it works on his second form though). Also doing this my way, will net you the move in about five or ten minutes if you dash after the second tank. Beware you can get ahead of the second tank if you want but dash like crazy or the front spikes will get you. A fun glitch to try out after getting the Hadoken, is to go back to the stage you got it from, then on the last skateboard before the boss, fire it off and charge up your blaster fully and fire it for a (in my opinion) cool effect!!
