Ditcheva may be the best female striker I've ever seen. I mean, Cyborg was (is?) an absolute monster, but Ditcheva's just so damn fast and precise and still brings a ton of power. But it was fun to watch how Ditcheva positions herself when grappled and resists any leverage Holme tries to get to take her down. If you notice Ditcheva has a well balanced stand she goes into every time she is grappled. Try to re-watch - a lot of technique, balance, strength, intelligence, etc. Not boring at all. But I have some wrestling background, so may not be typical.

Omg finally I get to see someone else pointing this out. We tune in to see the martial artists and fighters, not just the fight but production edits it like "Oh no they're going to interact, quick cut it to the random crowd doing nothing instead ! We don't want the fighters to do anything other than fight each other." Sometimes it really feels like they're instrumentalising the combative aspect of the sport to create a narrative on animosity between the athletes.

No, that’s what blew my mind too. She has like freaking strength for her long lanky frame even when she’s trying to wrestle them when she’s against the cage you see she’s able to like break free of the shorter stock year girls but kicking and punching is absolutely amazing size. It’s not like she is muscular, even if you look at her thighs, she doesn’t have really big thighs the only thing I can think of that technique just she’s able to get that full body motion behind every punch kick instead of just legs or arms she has the best striking technique and maybe all of MMA

I have never been drawn in to any kind of fighting sport as much as I've seen in PFL, and Dakota Ditcheva tops the list for me. To be fair, I thought that Holm was a great opponent. Kudos to this referee too. His breaking up of the fighters when it was clear that they were stalemated was spot on. It was great that this ran into the third round. It really was a great fight.

Viewers tune in for the fighters, the fight and the post fight moments as well. The crows can be captured at any moment, even in picture in picture. I love watching Ditcheva fight. Wow total package for either a man or woman. I am so happy for her on what she has accomplished thus far and can not wait to see what else she can do. If I could ask any of the fighters one question on tactics I would ask this. Why is it that no fighters go for or use pressure points that can temporarily stun a body part forcing it to give out? During my years in law enforcement as a private security officer we used less than lethal takedowns. Why are they not being used to put people on the ground without causing soft tissue injury?

The striker will wear out faster in a clinch and a grappler will get more damage closing striking distance. It s a tactic, therefore i don t like any intervention... I look at the whole fight. not each round seperate, i think the fighter who took the fight the most to the enemy should be the winner, and if its not clear. I would apply K1 rules and add aditional fight rounds to let things clear up until there is a clear winner.
