Action filmed on the preserved Bocq valley railway line in Belgium during the 2013 Cockerill gala weekend.
There are several moves in the stations of Spontin and Dorine-Durnal.
These include departures and shunting moves with locomotives of the classes 50 (not a real one, this is a repainted 51 in the colors of this one of prototype, which in 1971 was equiped with a Cockerill V16TR240CO engine of 4000hp, putting it amongst the most powerful single engine diesel loco's of that time), 51 (Cockerill Baldwin 608A engine, turbo, 2150hp), 59 (Cockerill Baldwin 608A, turbo, but 1750hp), 60, 61, 64 ( all Cockerill TH8.955A, based on BLH engine types and delivers 1360hp @ 1000rpm.),70 (ABC 6DXC, so not a Cockerill-Baldwin, but it sounds like one) 73 (Cockerill T695SA, 650hp)
The appearance of 211.006 (6406) was rather special, it formed part of a prototype batch of 6, which had hydraulic rather than electric transmission, but paired with the same engine as a class 60 and a slightly different loco body.
They were deemed not reliable enough, so the six lingered on till 1983, when this loco was put into storage for the future national railway museum (which they are building now!)
Since then this loco didn't appear much, only on some static shows.
So this was the first opportunity since 30 years ago that it could be seen on the head of a train!
Because it hasn't a running engine it was pushed by 6106, but since it has the same engine type all we can hear are the right noises.
