I kinda liked the Gamescom audience...most of them weren't fooled by concept art and ideas that can get scrapped at any moment. A new class is cool but there are people who just don't care about it...it's not like everyone is gonna main a DH, just look at monks, not that many around. Don't forget that WoD also looked like it was gonna be a great expansion, and all we got was good raids.

Brekner Catalin Yeah, exactly my thoughts on the crowd. 95% of people who come to Blizzcon are hardcore fanboys/girls who eat that shit up and Blizzard would prolly have them all in tears after showing Illidan is coming back. It got my nostalgia juices flowing a bit, but after 1 minute I realized im over the age of being easily impresionable and WoD destroyed my confidence in blizzard so I was like, meh, we'll see.

Brekner Catalin It's definitely warranted to be wary of WoD. However, I personally have been wary of WoD even before beta start. The entire concept just felt like a giant filler. "Alternate reality" is always a "stuff happens that doesn't matter to us!" kind of storytelling. Never understood the WoD hype train (a lot of Orcs and an own base.. wow) However, Legion is really putting it out there. This shit doesn't LOOK half-assed when it comes to the ideas. Besides, you cannot fuck up an expansion that will probably feature a last raid against Sargeras. An expansion where probably Varian, Thrall, Tirion and probably even more will die to the Legion (so we get, lorewise, the Ashbringer etc.) If they fuck that up.. if they're so stupid and think "Ahh, halfassing will do it." then OK.. they've fooled me again, but they've really given up on their own ideals at that point.

I like the idea of artifact weapons because there's a potential there to introduce variety between players using the same spec. We all understand that each spec, Druid for example, will have its own weapon; one for Guardian, another for Feral, Balance and Restoration, respectively. Now imagine if you will, another weapon, separate in a way from the main spec weapons. Imagine a fifth weapon that is meant to, through the talent system associated with the weapon they've shown at Gamescom, further augment you spec. Here's an example: Leyara's Staff for (Restoration Only?) Druids. The talents you choose with this weapon would transform your healing spells into Fire spells capable of dealing damage. So instead of a tree who uses heal-over-time effects, you're a flaming tree who sets things on fire for damage-over-time. I've always found the Resto Druid spell interactions to be very interesting, and think a different take on those mechanics, one focused on DPS, could be fun. But it doesn't stop with Druid. You could do the same with Retribution Paladins. Maybe give them the option of a Mace, rather than the Ashbringer, that instead of increasing the damaging effects of their attacks, causes them to grant various temporary blessings to nearby allies. It may sound silly or convoluted to some, but its my attempt at spicing up the specs in a meaningful way and introducing new themes.

What would be really cool is if each class hall was its own faction available only to those of that class. The class rewards could be gear, it could be useful gear or just a transmog set for your class, there could be titles, toys and other items. This is the perfect opportunity for Blizz to add class themed content.

Carl Kelleher I feel like that could be potentially stuff of future expansions. Because let's be real. The two main things aside from Demon Hunter are the artifact weapons and class halls. Both of them could be easily carried over to future expansions. At least I can't see Blizz putting that much effort into artifact weapons only for them to say "Yeahhh.. the xpac after Legion? Your new green questing sword will probably outclass Doomhammer, unless you've upgraded it all the fucking way. Then it'll last you maybe through the first raid tier."

SacraAurum Another issue is that the private servers are always coming and going. That's got to be the worst part of all. I see that EverQuest 2 has an older server available now. That's the kind of thing I'd like to see BlizzTard offer - some realms for older expansions. The current strategy continually buries older content with each new expansion and makes it useless.

My friends and I have been thinking about what would be a good lore weapon for the warriors and we've been saying the Axe of Cenarius would be a great weapon. It's a wooden axe that was blessed by Cenarius in the War of the Ancients and is the only weapon known to be powerful enough to damage Sargeras as seen when Broxigar jumped into the portal and slew hundreds of demons and then hurt Sargeras.

so... is the demonhunter like a warlock and a hunter or a warlock and a rogue, i hear they are making 2 specs, tank and dps, they should make another dps and have it be rogue/hunter focused. hunter focuses on the predator aspect, rogue focuses on the stalk aspect. i would really like that.

They could keep this weapons and system even in next expansion. Basicly, you do initial quest and your weapon goes to level 120 and resets all progress. And you repeat it in next expansion.

What if Melee Hunter will be like Darmac, who can mimic abilities of pets? Would make sense, since you've been SO GOOD at surviving and adapting in the wild that you essentially become a beast! Maybe it'll even go as far as having a few pet-specific abilities that you'll only have when you have a certain type of pet class next to you and you can free-flow switch between your five pets to get to use the different pet skills you'll unlock for your Hunter. (pets would be much more supportive and not a tanky / heavy damage tool and therefore the switching wouldn't fuck up your DPS a lot)

Double jump that only goes in one direction has one possible use. If you take fall damage from the last time you jumped it could give demon hunters immunity to fall damage, if the second jump is timed right.

For Arms warrior I want the Original "Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood" its so an iconic weapon for a bad ass warrior old school, as for their headquarters it should be the old island were you had your Fury Stance quest on, a true callback. And just a speculation, I'm willing to bed they'll add a ranged spec to either the Rogue or warrior or both, just to counterbalance hunter getting a melee spec just so we have more "ranged weapon" users.

Here is a thought for you guys... the weapons have 2 purposes right now - lore, and player weapon for xpac, but are they needed for a 3rd option? Most of these weapons (if not all) are either titan related, or old god related. my feeling is, for the players individual game play, these weapons have to be used, by us, to actually harm the enemies we are about to face. Plus its an awesome idea/way to recycle old content into something new and shiny.

I really hope they update combat animations, Mages staff and blades should be shown when casting spells. Hunters will have a melee spec, that I hope really looks unique in animations. Think about the doom hammer animations wile casting the elements on foes. I made sure I got my blizzcon ticket and hopefully I can tweet out my Q&A questions.

This is how I think we gona get the ashbringer : We are gona get a quest to go Eastern plaguelands where tirion first fought the lich king . And he is gona tell us that he lost the power of the light ( against the lich king ''grant me one final blessing'') and he is gona test us if we are fit to use ashbringer by fighting against him 1v1 and in the middle of the fight the spirits who fought against lich king when he was there is gona give tirion the power to use the light one final time ( not so much power like before ) but we still win and kills him ( becuse you can only use the ashbringer by killing the owner )

Raim Surion really, just because at Blizzcon they're all fanboys that get overexcited about something dumb like a double jump doesn't mean that Gamescom people are just stupid. They were sanely cautious with their enthusiasm, because people freaked out about garrisons last time at Blizzcon and look at what shit it turned out to be... I actually had the same reaction, and I'm still thinking "first let me see what you deliver, THEN I'll get excited about the game you launched". The best thing Blizz can do now is just shut up and deliver a top notch expansion pack. No more Q&A, no more half promises, no more "We should do this or that", no more "soon(tm)", just shut up, work, polish and deliver.

While I don't agree with the weapons of choice for Artifacts (huge lore weps), it makes for a more balanced game since classes will be balanced with those weapons in mind, and not having possibilities on 3+ weps/raid.

i think illadan is being called back to the legion as a slave of saragas again (given a second chance) and demon hunter are released by the wardens to hunt him down.....making maybe that lass who was hunting him as main npc for them and the warden prison as there base (like dk citadel)

Broxigar's axe for players, should only be a thing if Cenarius alter it. It was made to be an extension of Broxigar himself, it's power bound to him.

I'd like to see the survival hunter being a tank class using the pet to switch damage and maybe trying to bounce a boss between attacking the hunter and pet so healers could heal the other while one is tanking? Plus it would tie in to the survival hunter being a "Survivor" Just my thoughts, I'm more of a casual player so don't bite my head off for being naive.

OK from Lore perspective it is said that the most powerful weapon every in Azeroth would only scratch Sargeras so beings we are getting these powerful Artifact weapons leads me to believe we are going to fight Sargeras weakend Avatar at the end of the xpac to seal the tomb up. I am ok with the Artifact weapons.

Class Order Halls: the bit about "you" being the leader of the Order makes me worried that it'll just be Garrison 2.0, and the whole thing about a community of people in your class will just be imaginary and just consist of decoration and NPC's. In WoD, we were each the leader of the army on Draenor, but that wasn't other players it was just Followers and npcs.
