There's something he didn't mention about the difficulty, the default difficulty for online matchmaking is the PRO difficulty by default so if you plan on playing online, you might as well just play it on pro difficulty 👍

If they had licensed majors (especially Augusta), the ability to play as the pros in the game and their mo-capped swings then this would be a must buy for me. I appreciate the sim nature this game provides, but it’s definitely missing the arcade elements that the EA franchise had. Hoping future iterations include some sort of player progression system, more licensed brands/equipment and a larger variety of official courses instead of just the TPCs. Definitely looks to be a step forward from The Golf Club games though.

Think4yourself I’m fully aware. People have done some great work with the creator, but what I was getting at is a season/career mode with the licensed majors and therefore official courses played at each tournament. Augusta, St. Andrews, Bethpage Black, etc.

After reading varying reviews of this game and playing The Golf Club games that were frustrating and disappointing I decided to take the risk. It takes a few rounds to get the right 'feel' of the swing and even then you will be punished for errors which is exactly how it should be. This is easily the best golf game since the Tiger Woods series. I rate it a solid 9/10

Just one of them things when graphics aren't prioritized in certain spots. I just hope being part of the 2k series now officially hopefully its not going down the abysmal rabbit hole so many of the other games seem to do. Hopefully EA has a response. More the merrier.

You can. And you can also disable pretty much everything else so you only see the golf course and cant use anything to help you play. No green grids, no scout camera, no follow camera, no swing help. Etc. This is both a video game AND a simulator. Like with all other games in the series, this can be played with your own swing using a launch monitor. So it is not just some silly arcade game

So I started playing this yesterday and already finished a full PGA tour. First step was you need to finish in the top 125 I think or win 3 tournaments. I won the first 3 but a huge margin like 14 under par for each round. The game mechanics are too each. Also it is hella boring. The commentators have like a dozen lines that they keep repeating over and over again. After you win a tournament you get some XP points towards the next level of which I have yet to figure out what the advantage of being a higher level is. In general this game feels overly flat, there is no depth to it. Not sure what is really missing but it definitely needs more courses. You should be able to select your golf ball type from a selection. When you win a tournament have some sort of awards cut scene, at the very least if you win the full PGA tour. What is the purpose of winning money? My player has approx 45 million dollars but nothing to use it on. Would be nice to have a turn based option for tournaments. So you hit, and the person on the same hole as you also hits, and back and forth based on distance from the hole. Training is a little lack luster. In my opinion does not really go into enough detail about chip shots. Driving range could be more entertaining with options for targets, or have it encourage you to hit a certain distance or whatever.

I can't remember my settings exactly but I started the game out with no assists, other than grids. Makes it really hard. Most of my rounds have been 3 or 4 over par. I've only had 2 sub par rounds, both were 69, 3 unders.

Maybe "poor graphics" but gameplay is fun as hell. When you think you have mastered it, just fiddle a bit with the settings and BOM, you are back to square one. It's pure fun. Commentators feels like a real broadcast of golf, sometimes a bit "same same chat" but it feels real.

No that's a complete lie lol I've had all of the 4 golf club games and this new one has the most official courses, the other games had user created courses that players made, they will be added into this game too if said users are still active and transfer it over..

@@3210-n1x the reason I touched the golf club 2 was bc 1. It was free on xbox. 2. A friend that's golf's said dude....43 licensed pga courses. And it did. And it was great. Now were back to a tiger woods pga tour which is same course. Same course. Same course but w heavy wind.

I’m disappointed with it. Just the little things missing that made the older versions more fun such as the power boost by tapping “x” and also increasing the spin speed and angle. And the menu to play with mates is just annoying and fiddly!

Pros certainly have. It really depends on the lie and what sort of loft they want on the ball. Just because you're 15 yards out doesn't mean you necessarily want to pull out the lob wedge.

I have the 2019 version. Love the game play in this but hate the set up. You can't upgrade clubs or attributes. The clothing selection is almost laughable. I want to be able to upgrade clubs, upgrade my player stats, choose tour options and possible work different tours up to the top in career mode, etc... 👎👎

@@itsmini6175 So as a golfer, you can totally upgrade your clubs in real life. You can switch out your shafts for lighter or stiffer ones, you can adjust weights and sliders in your driver for different shot types, and you can also change your grips out if you need something softer or firmer.
