so im at the aircraft stage and it gives me an error saying Unable to takeoff (also followed by second error saying Unable to land) due to Runway/Access, what did i do wrong?

Good video but I would recommend you to say the shortcuts you use, I did not know how to add the charge to the barrack

Select the airport and the save it as an export in the scenario editor menu at the bottom.

Check also this one commandops.github.io/inst-designer/ Make sure to click the "grouped" button The imagery is much better, although you cant measure the runways. But you can do this in CMO or Google Earth.
