When I worked in a a grocery store in Escondido, Goldberg was in there almost weekly shopping with his fam. Dude was so freaking cool and would always take time for people who recognized him. I remember when I first met him in the store and I said Man U look just like Goldberg. He smiled and shook my hand with his gorilla hand and said “well there’s a reason for that.” Solid dude.

About 60 years ago my Dad and I got paired up with Larry "The Axe" Hennig and his friend at Theodore Wirth Golf Course in Robbinsdale, MN. To this day, Larry The Axe is one of the nicest people I've ever been paired up with on a golf course. He could not have been friendlier. I knew who he was, not only from TV wrestling, but I went to Robbinsdale High School, as did Larry The Axe and Verne Gagne before him. Everyone at Robbinsdale know about Larry and Verne. RIP Larry. And Verne. Great job continuing the legacy, Goldberg.
