Great video! Your videos have helped me with my own hammering as I am just dabbling and having fun! Is it possible to tell when a cymbal has been over-hammered? I'm thinking I've completely hammered the piss out of my Wuhan 16" blank. Thanks for the great videos!

Hey, I'm happy you're able learn from these videos! Telling if a blank has been too hammered is complicated, it also depends what kind of sound you're looking to get. As long as you don't have areas that are clearly too hammered (they have a profile of their own) the cymbal should be able to rest and regain its sound. But some cymbals can take a long time before they sound good again. Don't throw it away! Come back to it in a couple of weeks and try focusing on the shape.
