I really appreciate your help, i’m just starting a new project and nobody talks about that kind of stuff. Thanks!! Would you mind sharing the compressor specs, but the real need for that kind of setup?

We are happy to be of service. CNC machines usually use compressed air during tool changes. The compressor in this case must be able to maintain a pressure of 7 bar and a capacity of at least 300l/min, and the size of the air reservoir is recommended to be around 250 litres. Just be aware that the Hiteco 7,5 kW spindle on the machine uses air for cooling and dust cleaning even when the spindle is not rotating, at that time it uses about 50l/min, so when you choose a compressor and you want to prevent it from switching on very often, choose an air reservoir as large as possible.

Hi there! One little question, how many KVAs that CNC pulls from your electric transformer? (Including all the accessories running like air compressor, table vacuum pump, spindler etc) thanks for sharing.

Hi @Rafabasu in this case customer is using big compressor and dust extractor. But this type machine is working in one workshop where total capacity is 12kW, with dust extractor and air compressor. If we have a look on technical parameters of all electrical components that will be about 20-25, but it’s never working on full power. Like mentioned 12-15 kW is enough.
