Finally someone who fully understands, and breaks down, the excellence of Jokic. This analysis is far above the hundreds of Jokic commentators of the past 8 years. 90% of the Jokic commentators repeat the words “unathletic”, and “he can’t play defense”, immediately identifying the “analyst” as an idiot directing his commentary to other idiots. Outstanding job.

Great video but Thinking Basketball already did a video like this a year ago. Homie used clips from ONE JOKIC GAME and destroyed every passer in league history by comparing to their HIGHLIGHTS Just think about that... Jokic has more highlights in one game than entire highlight reels from all the best passers in history. Absolutely insane

Luka does the same... They are both on the same level if it comes to reading the game, understanding angles, misleading defenses and passing skills. They are the same. Not to mention that those media clowns got shut up a long time ago. Everyone right now knows that Jokic is the best player in the league. A lot of US media might not like it, but they have accepted it. But Luka, compared to Jokic, is still being disrespected by the US media. Just look at the current MVP standings. They try everything to diminish what he does. Jokic gets his praise now.

Jokic is the best passer of all time. Most of Magic and Stockton's passes ended up in the hands of one player, Kareem and Malone, and Jokic's passes were evenly distributed among all teammates. No center other than Jokic is in the top 100 passers of all time, so comparing them to them is silly.

Love this breakdown of individual plays, what Joker sees, how he's timing things, etc. So many people who just see a "no look pass" and don't realize the recognition, the *reason* he looks the other way, etc. I'd love to see a series like this which takes some of the best like Jokic and Haliburton and goes play by play to show what they're seeing and how they set up the defense for their passes. Also for defense. Really breakdown how someone like Greene or Gobert actually influence the offense to make bad decisions and cause them to take lower quality shots. Keep it up.

9:20 yep there it is. Ive been saying for a year that Jokic is the first NFL quarterback playing in the NBA and this line of "throwing teammates open" reinforces that. Also i gotta mention Kobe Bryant, Micheal Jordan, and Stephen Curry. The only three players in the GOAT Tier with #4 Larry Bird as the greatest player of the HoF tier. Jokic is right there on a fastract to GOAT Tier. No one other than the 4 dudes mentioned (and CP3) has had more of an impact on team success and the game of basketball in general

I know they have different styles and are from different positions, but I see Jokic the same way I saw Lebron. Simply a player with superior IQ. Not many few have what those two guys have. Bball IQ is highly overlooked by the casual fan and pundits. But to me is the defining factor on a player greatness. For those who can appreciate what he does and how special and rare it is. There is nothing more enjoyable to watch on a Bball game. The eye-test depends on the IQ of the person looking. If you have a low bball IQ, you will only see Ja Morant, Westbrook, Jordan, Iverson, etc... as special. You will be missing on Jokic, Lebron, Rondon, CP3, Luka, etc...
