I had adult braces 2016-2018 and it definitely changed my oral hygiene habits. I got braces at 40 and I was insecure in the beginning but when I saw the changes I embraced them. Best decision I ever made for myself. Just an FYI, when they come off you may miss them a little bit. It’s crazy I know 🤪

Love the intro 💗 Yes when it comes to braces I stopped anticipating when they were coming off once 2 years went by 😅 I got mines taken off in august. After 3 years & 4 months 😁 best feeling ever! Worth every penny & the whole process. Now I have to work on wearing my retainer at night lol I think this orthodontist will get you right before your wedding.

Make sure you wear you retainer.....for life. I wore mine 12 years and stop then five years later my teeth shifted. Too much money for that. Congrats 💗💗

I also have permanent retainers placed at the bottom row and top (where I had a gap) but the plastic retainers need to be worn because even after a few days of not wearing them I can feel the difference. I actually moved in the middle of my treatment, however, my previous orthodontist refunded me money. I wasn’t expecting it but they called to get my new address and said expect a check in the mail since I didn’t finish with them. You should look into that.

This is such a nice transformation! I’m in dental school and we just learned about orthodontics it’s cool to see it actually applied. When you get your retainers you should definitely request a metal one instead of the plastic (it’s such a waste of money)

This vid popped up in my feed. Congrats to you (wedding). Great video; your progress also looks great. My midlines were off also: upper & lower, in different directions. (Orthodontist is fixing 5 issues with my teeth). I was given an estimate of 26 to 30 months. The office closed for 3 months because of the pandemic, so I'm estimated to hit 30 months when the braces come off.

I have to get the same gum graphing on the same tooth before I even have my braces placed on my teeth. Here's a tip... to help control your gums receding, use a soft bristle tooth brush verses a medium bristle. Have been here from the beginning and remember the day you received braces. Your progress has been great and I'm glad Bryan was such a wonderful boyfriend back in the day because he helped to keep you calm when you thought you wouldn't be able to breathe with the mouth piece placed in your mouth the first few months.

Hey 👋🏾 Neicey, I’ve had gum surgery and jaw surgery. Not fun. However with regards to the gum surgery, your mouth is one of the places that heal quicker so don’t worry about that 😉. I love watching your journey 😊a few years ago I had Invisalign and it’s definitely exhausting keeping them on for so long. My 6 month treatment ended up turning into a two year treatment. But I don’t regret it because I love my teeth now. After you get your braces off you’ll probably have to get a permanent retainer which is uncomfortable at first but now I don’t mind mine. And then I sleep with removable retainer on the top row of my teeth. But thanks for sharing your journey! Your teeth look great and I hope you get the braces off soon👏🏽

Before I even got braces I had to get surgery in my mouth because one of my adult teeth wouldn't come down, so they cut up in my gums and glued a chain on it and I use to get it pulled and twisted on my braces every time I would get them tightened. Now looking back I don't remember none of that pain. It hurt so bad. I had braces for 3 years and some change, and switched orthos 3x!! My teeth are way better now but still not perfect so I'll be getting them again hopefully next year; gotta get my wisdom teeth removed first. I def agree with you on how braces helped my oral hygiene. I use to only brush in the morning and now I can't go to bed without brushing.

I had got my braces like a month or two after you, I got them off last November but I actually am gonna get them again next year after I find an orthodontist who does permanent retainers. My last one didn’t and my gap closes with my retainers on but within 10 minutes of taking them off it’s back open. Probably still need a Frenectomy. I even moved in the middle of my treatment but refused to change orthos because of cost.

I had the Damon ceramic also for 3 yrs, took it off few months ago ; my ortho use to put the thick wire because I was always deployed for months overseas. You paid so much 😩. You gonna love your results though. 😁😁😁👑
