Awesome sessions with Dushyanth Sridhar, words are just not enough to express the effect he brings in expounding such deep facets of Sanatana using such contemporary examples like a cup of tea!!for Parabhramam’s bigness, like Shiva and Janyu Maharishi tamed the Ganga to bring down to earth, so also Dushyanth is distilling, encapsulating the vastness of Vedas, Vedanta to bring it down to our layman’s level of understanding🙏and the icing on the cake was rendition of Sriman Narayana🙏

Very illuminating and excellent explanation and singing. DS, it is a blessing to hear you. I have some thing to add, not dispute this. All these terminologies are from the standpoint of Jeevathma and for Jeevathmas' curiosity. From the standpoint of Jnana Marga and my humble experience, Paramathma is Whole and Complete and is Nirguna, ie., without attributes, good or bad.

I heard him in IIT Madras, is well read and has good knowledge but the moment feminist raise questions on Bhagwan Rama, fizzled out saying deeda of Rama are fit for that epoch. Almost sounded He has no relevance now! Incontrast to him, Jaggi Vasudev who says Rama is a human, gave factful befitting response to KCR' daughter Kavita at Ficci meet tried to insinuate Bhagwan Rama. Why I write this here, being knowledgeable you shall not bother to sound politically correct always!!

Perhaps, the word “ பகவான் “ is a subtle point of shaivam and vaishnavism. Adi Sankara calls deity as “ நிர்குணத்வன்” where he only makes a positive definition. But after hearing Shri.Dushyant that “ பகவன் + அன் where அன் indicates the non existence of bad qualities seals both ends of qualities, namely , what he is And what he is not. Negative definition automatically leads to emergence of positive in full form when digitization is zero. Ramanuja’s “ கல்யாண குணத்வம் “ of Brahmam gets a position in the explanation. This can be compared to Lord Krishna’s statement that “ I remain as taste in water “ thereby, he establishes Scale concept for our worldly perception. This again can be extended to sadjamam of music which is the tonic index for all the other Shruti s of its octaves. It is fascinating to listen to scholars like Shri.Dushyant !

Namaste! Shri Dushyanthji's eloquence and erudition is admirable. He seems to be blessed with the grace of Goddess Saraswati. But my humble suggestion is to be transparent with the Sampradaya being followed. Shr Dushyanthji's exposition of Bhagawan, Eshwara and Brahman come from the school of Vishistadvaitam. Coming from the Smartha Sampradaya, I find the explanations contradictory on many aspects. For Smarthas, the idea of Brahman is without qualities, while for Vaishnavas, it is with good qualities (Kalyana Guna). Vaishnavas consider Lord Siva as subordinate to Lord Vishnu. Smarthas do not consider either of them as supreme. For Smarthas, the idea of Brahman is formless & without qualities (good or bad). Brahman is also beyond Lord Siva or Lord Narayana. The Smartha Sampradaya follows Sri Adi Sankara, and the school of thought is Advaita. I humbly request Sri Dushyanthji to clarify his Sampradaya clearly and indicate that his views or opinions on all these constructs come from Vishistadvaitam. This would accord a certain legitimacy and ensure that the audience is aware that there are other Sampradayas who look at the same constructs differently.

@@pramilagopinath4134 Yes, undisputedly. But quality of voice and transparency of thought are not related. I know that the audience of Pgurus are of a certain quality. With such videos on topics related to our Sastras, sincerity is expected. I hope Pgurus and Shri Dushyanthji look into this and respond. I dont expect a personal response but I response in the upcoming videos.

Very good point. Bhramam is described as formless as per advaita sampradaya. Typically if we recall.. "Baha-vaa-ne" is the typical exclamation expression used by iyengars, especially elderly women, at least with the past generation. Ofcourse I've also seen smartha's who follow Satya sai use that term, but not widely.

If you need to know the The Root, Primeval Original Person, one must focus on the Root and not the branches and fruits. We cannot water the stems, branches leaves and fruits to stimulate growth and development of the original seed planted. The Seeds comes from Sri Bhagavan. Yes Jiva atma is the" immortal living substance" or "an individual soul" and the individual physical body. Paramaatma or Supersoul Indwells all entities.Sometimes can be observed through meditation Ishvara denotes we are all controllers. We control our family, our society, our business, our factory. There are different kinds of controller. So in that sense everyone is īśvara, but different types of īśvara exist revelant to typasya and Austerities. Īśvara, the Supreme Lord, Kṛṣṇa; means the Supreme controller. "Īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ" Control of the universe not just earth. Bhagavan is the Absolute Supreme Personality of Godhead possessing infinite beauty, knowledge strength ,fame, wealth and renunciation. Offcourse Ishvara and Bhagavan is used synonymously. Bhagavan has hundred of millions of names according to God's pastimes millennium after millennium The Devas of which there are 33mil.,are not Gods, buy exalted devotees of Bhagavan ,being appointed administrators in various necessary functions of the planet. They are pure devotees of the Bhagavan who worship Bhagavan ceaselessly. Bramah Deva in Bramah Deva ,at the fwan of creation sings Govindum Adi-Purusam tam aham bhajami. Such is my understanding as compiles my Acharya HDG A.C Bhaktivedenta Swami Prabhupada. Correct me where I have erred
