Kakatiyas ruled over 350 years and was golden age for Telugu people. They built many temples and two temples are standing today, Ramappa and 1000 pillar temple. Even Kanchi was under the control of kakatiyas. Details can be had from Prof Panduranga Rao, who designed the foundation of current Ayodhya temple based on Ramappa temple enhancing life period from 150 years to 1500 years.

The genius Vedanta desika’s hamda sandesham is a brilliant work & i have heard shri Dushyant Sridhar’s exposition on that work many times. Both Vedanta Desika as well as Dushyant transport us to that time period. Though the work is VD’s imagination, it is treasure house of geographical facts

It was sheer magic listening to Dushyanth Ji's narration, I mentally got transported back to 13th century and could imagine the horrors of Sultanate. I had the great fortune of living in Kanchipuram for a short period and could visit Sri Varadharaja Swami temple. It was just goosebumps moment for me to realise the great saint Sri Vedhanta Desikan's potential was discovered for the first time inside that very temple complex. But I'm surprised that Shri Vedant Deshik Acharya's legendary feat of writing the most authoritative commentary on Shri Valmiki Ramayan wasn't mentioned here, eap seeing as this commentary is held in the same regards as Sridhari teeka of Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran.
