What is Calibration means? As per video what I understood is, we are setting the PH meter according to the solution we dissolved in the water... My question is both water had same temperature...so when you adjusted the meter with right side Jar, on left it should show right PH value, because you already adjusted the meter, but why do you reset the meter again on second Solution... Please someone tell me

Your explanation to do the 4.01 before the 6.86 is exactly opposite of what the paper instructions that came with the product you are showing.

after i calibrate . shouldnt the solution read the same . my calibration was right but after i tried to test the solution again it didnt read right what the packs say . but the calibration was perfect . shouldnt the solutions stay the same

No. CO2 in the air will change the PH. (especially with you standing over it) I wouldn't worry too much. :)

Honestly for the price you can't beat these PH testers. They're not pinpoint accurate but they're within less than a point once adjusted. Stay away from the Pancellent brand, they are garbage!

when i put mine in the water it just flashes many different numbers from 10 down to 1 to 0.5 back up doesnt really stop at 7.0 like my water is phed at

Unfortunately then it's wrong. The flashing between numbers is only without water normal.

Most of these cheap pH pens are going to last a couple of months only. Even if you store it in a proper solution.

Thank you for making this video! I don't have that calibration powder but i have calibration solution such as pH4.01, 7.00, 10.01 Can i use that solution instead of the powder? does it matter?

koeun lee You got no reply yet? I believe that you can calibrate with the ones you have. Only thing would be that they are accurate, but at the right temperature (listed on back of his powder packet. I bought both meters he used for under ten bucks online. The other is a TDS meter that tells temperature also. Called TDS 3. Cheap online and mine had batteries and small pH packets like he used. Wish I had seen this before trying mine out. I hope that helped a bit...

YOU NEVER KNOW. THE PH METER WILL START TO ACTUP. then you will need to do it. not every use. although mine had to be done twice in about 3 weeks.

I always use new water after every feeding for the next feeding. if you keep the mixed water you may over feed your plants. you wont know just how much nutes are in the water. I only feed my plants every 4 times I water. about once a month give or take. you will get use to how much water you really need to have in your bucket. it must of just been that one meter that acted up so bad. I have one now for about 10months and not a problem with it ever.

TTG ENTERTAINMENT I have one and it's actually a TDS 3, total dissolved solids, and has a temperature meter also. I bought both of these meters together online for under ten bucks, together, and they came with batteries and the two pH calibration packets. I wish I had seen this before using mine, but I still have half the calibration powder and should recalibrate again. Best of luck!

Welcome! No... it's work with tap water too.

That's not 100% correct. Some places/cities have harder/softer water, so it will mess with the calibration process. That's why it says to use deionized water (it's printed right on the back of each mix pack). You even show this in your video. bit.ly/2hpL90E
