I wouldn't do the seedling grind to get to 70, materials can be farmed or purchased later. The fatest way to getting to 70 is spider farming, they provide far more xp and provide enough large potions to never run out, also good for profiting from potion sales.

It's not about the speed but the management of materials and gold. You can speed run getting to 70 but have no gold for anything

Curious, I just came back after year(s), magic and crafting wasn't even around when I left. Wouldn't you want to get melee up a little bit at least for the HP/Defense boost?

Hp and defense matters very little unless you're going against Nydarax and Mummy. Otherwise the nightspun and coloured sets give you a ton of hp already Edit: it is recommended to raise mage first, then work on warrior after because warriors are generally expensive if you want to level them up fast. Relics of affliction, accuracy, exp, buff potions, gold for smithing and equipment etc. So getting mage up settles a lot of these issues

You still need the melee because once your mage tome run out you cant cast spells and be forced to use melee to grind the gold

@@onaechan thats the neat part if you grind to lvl 70 with seeds there is no way to run out of gold for tomes since you only buy the cheapest from the merchant. Magic essence sold to other players goes for 1-1,3k each (trust me you get more than 40k essence) and the potions they drop sells for 1,5k each at the merchant of which you also get 100+ in an hour so mellee is pretty much useless.
