I love seeing you guys in Phantasialand, since it is my childhood Park and I live fairly close to it. They actually themed the lifts in Riverquest and the entire whirlpool part on the top this year!

It was 1986 since I last went to Phantasialand, with my high school. I remember, there was 2 coasters in a mountain. A cream one that looked like it was power operated, and quite a low coaster. The other was a grey one that used a lift hill, through the mountain. All good fun.

47:28 damn, the construction of FLY and the area surrounding has been taken place prior this video being filmed. It just shows the amount of effort that goes into making one of the heaviest themed areas in the world

I think River Quest was some sort of emergency construction. There used to be a huge mountain with a coaster and the whole area burned down around 2002 I think. It was a sad day. But they used the place to build River Quest. It is an awesome ride and fire won't be a problem :)

Great Vlog Shawn. What a park, it looks stunning! They sure know how to build awesome parks with top notch theming in Europe, shame they cant do it here. Paultons park have to be the best themed area with lost kingdom at the moment and can see it being the best themed area for a long while.

if you go to germany in the winter i can advise you to go to the Efteling also... Winter Efteling is really nice, and it has a different vibe then :)

When we went with my school las winter it was manically because it was snowing it just made everything so pretty 100% best park I've been to couldn't get anywhere near this good in the uk

You really should come back for the Winter season it is very good. And there isn't a limited ride offering as you said, only River Quest is unavailable very thing else runs. Taron, Raik and Chiapas were all specially designed with all year around operation in mind.

At my home park, Six Flags America, we had an Intamin water ride with turntable sections called Typhoon Sea Coaster, which was always breaking down. Near the end of its life they took out two of the turntables so the boats always went forwards. That's why I feel sad watching Chiapas and seeing how flawlessly and fast it works.

I never black out in roller coasters, but after riding Black Mamba 8 times in a row, on the back row each time, but I did on the back row after 8 rides on the final break run!

i spoke to u guys, at the Efteling (Kaatsheuvel) before the port. I told yha that i saw the vlog of the baron 1898! really cool! and last thuseday (22-06-2016) we went to phantasialand! it's a really nice compact themepark! WITH A LOT OF STAIRS! that's the bad thing about the park haha! i really love this theme/acctractionpark video's and i hope u guys come over to the efteling again!

Shame that Martin didn't like it as much, but I get his point. Phantasialand is definitely not a park that's famous for wide open spaces. We will see how people spread around the park when Klugheim opens. I bet it will make the whole thing a bit more roomy. Apart from that great vlog, loved seeing your friends first reactions to things. But you NEED to get you butt on Tikal next time! It's a small and simple ride, but so much fun!

Thanks for video the theaters. In one of those theaters was an animatronic show that was later reanimated in Dutch for Hellendoorn for several years. Now I have to ask myself if I want to know which one of those, but the fact is: it doesn't really matter much, haha.

A bit harsh on Night Hawk don't you think? Waste of space? That's ironic since it used to have a space theme. After they switched the theme, they added some effects, which are all left broken now. Maybe one day someone will come around and make it great again. How can you hate the soundtrack though, it was composed very recently and sounds great (on-board worthy in my opinion).

mario64remix night hawk is the living proof that size does *not* mean everything. It's just sooooo long and soooo boring. That ride should either be shorter or it should recieve a massive refurbishment restoring tons of effects and such but in its current state it's just not good.

Even though I've yet to find a single person who shares my opinion, I like TotNH very much. Of course, it could use an update, so you have something to look at, but the track layout is perfectly fine. Phantasialand has been adding more and more awesome thrill rides lately, so why should this be turned into one as well?
