I got on of these in 2021 and it still looks and works great. The specs say it comes with 2 ssd mounting brackets but only has one but they sell them for $9 on Amazon. They say the case has 2 places to mount ssd's but it looks like there are really 3, with one on the motherboard side and 2 on the backside, one down low that they don't talk about. I don't care for the way the drive cages block the front fan but I guess the pressure will push the air through somehow. i have added the 3 fans up top and I'm sure it will cool just fine. My MB and SSD's come today and I will finish it up.

Got this case earlier this week. Looking forward to building in it. Major upgrade from my Antec Nine Hundred. It was a good case in 2008, but its had several upgrades that Ive done to it, plus yearly thourough cleaning so its starting to wear out. This case here looks much easier to modify and clean. The front end of this case looks much easier to put drives in. My old case is a nightmare to work on the front. The slotted fan mounts idea is genius!

The competition is baffled how Phanteks will make any money from the Enthoo Pro by undercutting everyone. It's very simple, Phanteks knows that people will talk about the low price, so the community does all of the marketing for them, hence saving them in advertising dollars. Totally agreed with you at 24:30. I bought a $44.99 Corsair Spec-01 case, drilled out the optical bays and stuck a 360mm medium sized radiator in the front. Tools? Power drill with 1/8" drill bit, that's it. If I want to re-install it I can use 6-32 or 8-32 or M4 machine screws to put it all back together. I think I bought 100 quarter-inch M4 machines screws for $3.99.

We who order the windowless version are the smart ones.. I'm sure I can speak for most of us when I say that we spend 10-15$ on noice-cancelling material to use with it, for a silent, yet very agressive looking case. with alot of room and great airflow.

If I’m correct, the Phanteks fans and cases are not a standard mounting pattern/size. That’s disappointing. Again, if I’m correct. Mine is on its way. I’m buying a 200mm Phanteks fan for the top. I don’t want to have to modify the case or fan. My hope is this will be a lifelong case for me. Thanks for the video.

i wonder, however, if you can mount the 360 in the top without completely removing every 5.25 drive bay. It would be nice if we can just remove the top-most 5.25 bay, and leave the rest in tact.. or something like that. Can you comment on this? More specifically, I know you said you can remove the optical bays and leave the HDD bays, but what about removing a single optical. (awesome video, btw. your enthusiasm is real.. very genuine, I love it)
@MaxellAdGuy
@MaxellAdGuy 7 жыл бұрын
You need to remove the entire 5.25 bay to fit a 360mm Radiator in the top of the Enthoo Pro. Here is the link to User's Manual PDF, www.phanteks.com/assets/manuals/PH-ES614P_Western.pdf Thanks for watching, I've pinned your comment to the top!
@DavidCNavas
@DavidCNavas 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the answer -- the manual doesn't seem to be much help. Maybe the paper version is better? I've watched your video at least twice, and I found it incredibly insightful, and as someone whose first video was my house frame while it was being built, it's right up my alley and I really appreciated it. But I'm puzzled by your answer. From the looks of it at ~4:17, it looks like a radiator will clear the inside of the cage horizontally just fine, but you will definitely lose a bay vertically. Eyeballing, looks like about 35mm from the top of the cage to the top of the first bay, which makes putting even a 3-1/2" in the top a no go. The Enthoo Pro M basically poisons the search results for the Pro, but here's a shot of someone who has a radiator with fans in a Luxe (which has the same frame as the Pro): linustechtips.com/main/topic/211352-will-the-ek-coolstream-rad-xtx-360-fit-in-a-phanteks-enthoo-luxe/ Seems like it works?

Only thing I don't like about the case is that the dust filters in the front and top aren't as easy as the standard is now from Corsair or NZXT, Fractal Design, exc. The mounting holes in the center instead of a little offset doesn't bother me that much. But, for $100, no complaints.

Hi guys, I've been searching around, and haven't found an answer to the following question: What is the max thickness I can have for a top mounted rad coupled with 25mm thick fans (ap-14s) before I run into any interferences with the ram slots or any other motherboard components? He shows fitting a 54mm black ice rad on the top, but never talked about clearance in regards to the mobo. Also, in the part 2 of the watercooling guide found on this channel, they are shown to fit 25mm thick fans with an xt-45 on the top with some clearance left from the ram slots. Is that the max one can do with this case? Last thing; do you have to have both harddrive caddies installed in order to mount the reservoir bracket? Any help is greatly appreciated.
@hammaadamin7438
@hammaadamin7438 10 жыл бұрын
Ok, after some more looking around, I am now able to answer my own question; possibly clearing things up for others as well. So, to start off, you have a total of 76mm clearance from the top before you run into the ram slots on a motherboard (assuming standard ATX form factor). So, if you were to use standard 25mm thick fans, you should be able to mount a 50mm rad up top with 1mm to spare; although I don't think it will be easy. Second; the reservoir bracket mounts up top the hdd caddies, and requires the lower end of it to be screwed in to a removable retention bracket which is at the midpoint between the two cages. this retention bracket is independent in regards to the hdd caddies, so you can mount the reservoir bracket without having any hdd caddies installed. I hope this helped ;).

Is it possible to keep the optical bay cage without the side cage wall? If not, I'd love to cut through the bottom 2/3 of that side wall - it's probably the only part in the whole case that bothers me.

It is already a very nice looking case, but when the 420 rad just "clicked" into place at the front it was damn sexy. lol Hard drives are easy enough to re-locate and who needs optical drives anyway? ;) It is VERY nice to see a case manufacturer build this much quality and this many options into a case at this price point. Plus it is awesome that after a few month they still haven't come to their senses and it can still be bought at $100! lol Oh yeah, I absolutely loved the Thermaltake comment. Well played, sir! :D

I currently have a NZXT Switch 810 that has 90mm space between the roof of the case and the edge of the motherboard. The Switch 810 also allows mounting fans under to top cover which makes push + pull possible with a 60mm radiator. (60mm rad + 25mm fan inside case + 25mm fan outside the case) What is the top clearance like in this case? I am considering changing my case but the lack of fan support underneath the top cover worries me a bit.

Great case. I think DDR slots are smaller problems than massive motherboard heatsinks. I want to fit in a 360/45 rad in the top, but that will be really tight, maybe offsetting the rad to the 140 slots will help. I'm also really like the luxe, and with that you can fit fans under the to cover. But there's no release date for it. :-(

Still think it would be nice if that front filter came off in some other way than removing the whole bezel. I mean I'd pay $20-30 extra for that awesome case if some things like that were made more maintenance friendly. Part of that comes from currently owning a 600T, though I guess that bezel looks easier than the 600T's for removal. Also wouldn't mind some form of physical fan controller, as I don't generally use the PWM motherboard controls for anything beyond the CPU heatsink fan(s). Anyways nice review, always enjoy them(and your other videos), even though I'm not a modder

My case is starting to be dusty. Based on your experience, do you think I can remove the filters and Fans without dissamble my PC pieces? I don't want to rebuild my own PC, I hate touching or removing any pieces, always scared to scratch or break something. I remember when I installed the CPU I heard a CRRACK and my heart stopped for 5 seconds.. or insert the RAM with so much pressure that I am scared to break the mobo. Or inserting the mobo on the screwdrives and aligned with I/o shield and hear it scratch a bit on the screw and some pins of the io gets in the way so I have to do it a second time. Or the worst installing the freaking CPU cooler and guessing the right amount of pressure... worst 3 seconds of my life. You get the idea.

Hi there. I have the same case except with a full tempered glass panel. I've been using this case for 5 years. Yes, you could fit a 360 radiator in the top while keeping the optical drive bay. You just need to move optical drive to down to second bay or third bay on your choice. If you are plan to use an AIO. Just make sure hoses are long enough to reach the CPU if not you could just rotate 180 degree to next to the exhaust rear fan. Unless you are plan to do a full custom water cooling loop, it definitely should works. Personally, I plan to switch from air cooled to fully water cooled soon because of my 13900K.

Your main problems are going to be weight and stiffness. You will also find sharp corners and edges to be a nuisance and getting a good finish will cause you sleepless nights.

yes, I gave up on that now. Not enough time really to plan it out and to do perfect cuts. I am doing a shredder helmet now.

Hi bill, so can you *completely* disassemble this? e.g. so all the panel could lie flat? That would be awesome if that was the case. I would make traveling with it so much easier (and I need 4 GPUs so a full tower is required). Your video shows the front frame still mounted upright.. is that riveted in?

everything riveted, and this isnt even a good case for 3 GPUs! I'd look at the Phanteks Enthoo Primo or Corsair 900D tower, thanks for watching, B @ mnpctech.com/

Can you use 420mm x 60mm rad on top without problems with those front panel usb? After installing a 420mm rad can you put back the optical drive bay?
@movitz1579
@movitz1579 8 жыл бұрын
You dont need to remove the optical drive bay in the first place for 3x 140mm fans/ radiator you just have to place the optical drive at a lower slot

Got this case a few weeks ago. It's a great big case for the price, but it has a few things that disappointed me. It's big and spacious, but to me it barely qualifies as a "full tower". The exterior panels are nice and sturdy, but the interior not so much. My cheap ass ancient HAF912 is a damn tank in comparison. The motherboard tray was flexing while I was screwing down my NH-D15. The HDD cages are made with the same flimsy sheet metal, but the parts that attach them to each other and to the case are fricking plastic, so are the HDD trays. So far the case has not folded in on itself, but I was expecting a bit more after reading all the reviews. Granted it has been a while since I got my last case, so maybe standards and build quality have gone down, I don't know. Great case with lots of options, but I dare to say they may be sturdier alternatives out there.

Yes, the lower price is a reflection of the the cheaper material and construction, Thank you for sharing and commenting!
