How does the fan control hub work exactly? If you are going to plug the hub into the MB cpu fan connection does that mean you also have to plug the cpu fan itself into the hub, as it's slot is not occupied by the hub on the MB? Can you control all the fan speed individually with the hub?

Hi Mr.Bill Owen I have a question about the leds in this case. I plan on getting the NZXT HUE RGB Led Controller that comes with a 2m long led strip but I was wondering if you could take the led strips from the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case and connect them to the NZXT Hue strips and control the leds via the NZXT Hue controller? I noticed that the rgb controller that comes with the case only allows for solid colors but I want to make them slow pulse a deep blue in unison with the leds that I will be putting inside of the case. Is this even possible? Will I be able to connect the case leds to the inside leds and control all the leds with the NZXT HUE RGB Led Controller which allows for pulsing and all other kinds of settings? Sorry...I am a nub when it comes to pc lighting. I have never done it before and I want to make the first time an experience to remember.

It wasn't shown in this video but in another review they removed the piece of metal in front of the front fan and the 4 nuts that hold it on were stuck to the front grill and stuck out. Yes, but you have to remove the middle piece that is there for mounting the reservoir bracket.

Great case, got it yesterday, the quality is fantastic. Got stuck on one thing tho, im not sure how should i plug my fans, cant understand how the fan hub works... any suggestions? Right now i have the 3 case fans plugged on the hub, the hub plugged on CPU_OPT, and the 2 radiator fans on CPU_FAN so i can monitor them and tweak them separately. Tried to mess with the RPM of the hub fans via BIOS but cant figure it out

+Sean O'Brien I'd choose the Phanteks. I feel it's overall look is nicer. I like how you can mount SSDs on back of MB tray, you can remove the top grill easily, and the built-in RGB lighting on the exterior is nice feature.. Phanteks also offers better paint quality than NZXT.

I really wish they made this into a mid tower :( I love the size of the Pro but what the Luxe offers over the Pro is just too good for me. I wanted to downsize a bit from my original NZXT Phantom but this just has everything I want. Any suggestions for a mid tower similar to this? Already looked at the H440. The H440 and the Enthoo Pro are my only other options so far.

Thanks, but they are Micro ATX :( I need to fit 2 780's, a Sound Blaster ZXR sound card (and the daughterboard that comes with it if I ever need to use it), 2 SSD's, 2 HDD's, and a closed loop CPU cooler. The smallest I can go is a roomy mid tower. Right now I'm using the original NZXT Phantom. I need to downsize as much as possible for space reasons, and I think airflow won't be a problem as long as I get a good case and install some extra fans.

I looked at that. Love everything about that case, except for the size. Compared to my Phantom it's about 3 inches shorter in length, but it's half an inch wider and a third of an inch taller. It isn't much of a downsize in length, and it's even bigger in width and height. While I don't mind that size, was looking to downsize.

ApavTech NZXT Source 340? It's very small and fits all your needs. It's 200mm x 445mm x 432mm; W-H-L. However, it won't have any extra storage options left over as I believe all will be filled. Depending on what CLC you have. I assume a standard 120/240 or 140/280. The thickness of the radiator matters as well. If it's to thick, you might have to remove that cable management bracket. /watch?v=65-pqVTykMc I actually went from the Phantom (original) to the Enthoo Pro. The only thing I cared about was lenght, since my table is only 60cm in depth, the Phantom was sticking out a fair bit, the Pro only just a bit!

I read a review @ Overclockersclub.com that states " the LED controller has no memory, so it will default to RED every time the chassis is turned on." Is this still true today or have they changed the controller ? Also If the computer goes into sleep/standby mode - does the LEDS stay the same color as the ones that you set it on or does it default back to RED ? Appreciate any replies - this kinda decides whether I want the Luxe or the PRO :)

Great question, It does share some DNA with the 810, and shares many of the same parts, ie: rear fan grill design, HD cage rails, and release latches. I'd bet money they're both made in same Taiwan factory. If you're looking to build a Server with mechanical HDs, Switch 810 is the better solution... If you're looking to build a nice Gaming rig, whether it's liquid or air cooled, the Luxe offers more expandibility in cooling options than the 810. Thanks again for watching!

Windows are poly-carbonate which is much tougher than acrylic & bit more scratch-resistant, although nowhere as much as glass, but the extra cost & weight of glass would've raised RRP + P&P.
