Those type of push to connect tube fittings have been around for decades now. In commercial or industrial settings, they're the cheap and reliable connection used for transporting every type of gas or fluid that don't require extremely high pressure. You'd probably be surprised at how you can find those style of connectors all around you. I'm surprised it took this long for them to come to PC water cooling.

I got a Phanteks case for my current rig and love it. But I've been really liking the LIan Li designs. Phanteks just got my attention again. These are amazing. I really want that Evolv case for my next rig.

Yeah, they have cool stuff! I picked up the g360a for my build a year and a half or so back. My only complaint is I can’t seem to find a replacement side panel for sale anywhere - but ya win some ya lose some

It is so awesome to see someone finally bring the idea of Sharkbite fittings (push to connect) to PC water cooling. Should have happened years ago. For those wondering, yes these are reliable, and I’d even go as far as to say that they are downright impressive. The only caveat is that you check your installation. The pipe must be fully seated, but it’s not even hard, just pay attention, and double check after you push each pipe in.

Hope the Eclipse fans are common thickness or available long term. Would hate to see a case lose its primary selling feature further in its lifespan because it needs an oddly specific fan.

2 builds back i owned an evolv gen 1 but the new evolv is absolutely sexy! and a $150 price point? This case is going to become the new king! I love the new front IO for the USB ports making it easy to plug in... was going to comment on the fans all pushing air out and it being negative airflow in the case and then the very next shot it shows phantex fans that the fins are backwards meaning they pull air with the pretty side out... Great for Phanteks this year they really stepped it up and might be a competitor for Corsair now assuming thier quality is top notch. Thank you i just found my next build solution... im instantly in love with that case and after watching the entire video i think all of my case peripherals will be Phanteks too

As someone who builds computers for a living, the RGB space is a complete nightmare. It's gotten marginally better over the years but if these manufacturers want my money they all need to agree to ONE standard, and Microsoft needs to go through with their plan to integrate RGB control into Windows itself. Stop trying to patent all these weird ways of connecting fans and cables and agree on one standard for that too. The reason why PC building is as easy and universal as it is is because everything is based on open standards. These companies need to stop being greedy and trying to patent spam the industry so no one else can use their stupid connector or whatever. That's NOT how you make money in the PC building space, that's how you die and become irrelevant.

We use push lock fittings in factories all the time for poly tube for all kinds of applications. They work great.

Interesting to see Sharkbites being used for PC watercooling. Those things are notorious for failing when not installed or "plumbed" correctly.

O yea. I cant wait for all the paid reviews showing it failing. Im sure LTT will be interesting. But those fittings are for sure gonna suck balls. Especially with how disgustingly unhygienic and cowardly most of their customer base is. Not smart people.

Shark bite fittings are awesome if you get the pipe/tubing fully seated. Most DIY failures are caused by not shoving the pipe ALL THE WAY IN. At least the ones I’ve had to fix for people are that way. I’m sure full time plumbers have horror stories of almost any type of fitting in my experience it’s always installer error.

@@AnomalousURLpush to connect fittings are very reliable. Sharkbite fittings for plumbing are superb and even work for compressed air, I have used them for both applications in my home and basement workshop. Provided that what Phanteks has made here is decent quality, standing up to the minimal pressures of a home PC water loop is nothing. What fails are people who don’t know what they are doing. The only caveat to push fittings is that the pipe is fully pushed in and seated. It’s not even difficult, people just don’t really try or double check.

Just use a gpu sag brackets or stand lol easy fix you have to use those in pretty much any case nowadays. These damn gpus and getting heavier as they go

@@spawnandbatman6975 I'm not sure there's a place to use a stand in there. I guess you could use the bracket style, but it would def detract from the look of the case....sadly you need something on most current gpus on the market from the RX 6000 and RTX 3000 on up.

@@emilyshabang some motherboard or case manufacturer had a sag bracket that used the screws and standoffs used to mount the motherboard, it would look very stealth in that case. Edit: Lian-Li GB-002 is the name of the thing.

G400a is what i will be waiting for. 3x140mm and 1x140mm rear fan. I dont think there is any other case that comes with all 140mm fans for this size. Absolutely great decision by Phanteks.

Not going to lie but that X2 looks gorgeous. Theres just one thing that looks troublesome to me, and thats that huge GPU Sag of that strix card. I would put one of those metal gpu support poles in the front or rear corner to stop the sag.

I remember buying the Evolv X for 200€ just after it was announced. It's a nice case, don't get me wrong, but it struggles a lot with intake. I got 3x 140mm fans in the front and its sorta enough for my 3080ti ftw3 and 5800x3d, but the intakes tend to get loud. I'm kinda worried about the Evolv X² having the same problem, the airflow seems quite restricted

Evolve X2 is Gorgeous, Phanteks is really good at making quality but also very stylish cases and their accessories like the fans have market leaders. Having said that for this case in particular might have to 3D print a custom sag bracket, there is problem with modern GPUs where the floor and ceiling is all fan so you have to get real creative with the sag albeit my current GPU has screw holes so it shouldn't be too hard to give it some custom legs. Maybe all GPUs should come with anti-sag screw holes. As for my 2 cents I prefer the black and gold because I'm a basic bitch and it never gets old. I know its overtly trying to mimic the look of a classy painting frame but I don't care much for the Oreo Cookie look of the black and white. IMO if they want to be unique, go for Gunmetal/machinery look.

Hahaha! X2 looks like a coffee maker! The old Evolve X looked much more powerful and purposeful as a case. Imagine keeping all that glass clean. Oh, and whatever happened to being able to show off my beautiful Seasonic Titanium power supply through a little dedicated cutout window? Old Evolve had that! I'll be sourcing one of the previous models before they're gone.

Im sorry but does the phanteks nexlinq have gpu temp fan control support? Is that what Im seeing at the 9:07 mark? Maybe Im just old and been out the game for a while but I have still yet to see fan control for gpu temps on any official software that doesnt require some round-about way to make it work properly. Maybe Kyle can revisit this.

Those Evolv X2 cases... how is the glass even attached? I don't see any thumbscrews on the panels! And, god I wish that GPU manufacturers would stop putting the power connectors on the front edge of the card. I know its a little thing, but here we have a beautiful ALMOST cable-free build, but you have this chunky cable wrapping around to the front of the GPU? I'd hate to say it, but I wish they would go more the route of the Mac Pro, where they designed in addition to the PCIe interface a power connector thats just on the motherboard. Why PC manufacturers haven't thought of doing that is beyond me.

Just don’t use a 3-3.5 slot gpu and you’ll be fine 😂. That said they do need to develop a way to better support GPUs without a brace on the opposite side, cuz those can be ugly

But I imagine the airflow in the phantek case won’t be that good. No side fans, no front fans. Pretty limited here. Heat sink on top of case isn’t optimal placement. So idk

I may be biased but I think the Phanteks NV series look better than this, and that new fan design with the screw looks like a cheap compromise, I know they are being sued by LianLi over their fans, makes me wonder if Phanteks came up with this new fan as a temporary to show case while they deal with the lawsuit over the D30s.
