Phantom LUTs for Canon Cinema Cameras

question: how well do you think these luts would work on the Canon R cameras? (mainly R7/R6/R5) The pack includes Clog3, so i'm curious to know how off they would be compared to the cinema line.

What if I am seeing noise on Neutral when shooting R6 Clog3 Cinema Gammut. I have tried over exposing by 1 stop as well as 2 and even shot it true to exposure. I just noticed the blacks look super noisy any advice?

What LUT did you apply to this footage? Which pack and which one specifically? Do you recommend the Ari as a base LUT to apply immediately and then the cinema/creative LUT ontop for that full effect? Really liked the music video footage in the middle of this and highly considering these packs as I have a c70 and Im primarily shooting mini music videos for social media

You don't tweak utility lut after it has been applied rather do adjust the clip before the lut.

Only difference is canon is shaper, so if you put a satin filter on it I bet it would definitely match even more. This is pretty crazy!

Hey mauricio the included ReadMe has detailed information about the LUTs. But in summary, legacy is used to match older sony cameras, or is used to get cleaner shadows in low light scenarios.

@@phantomluts I bought the Luts for Sony (FX3 & FX6) and it's gorgeous but tonight, I just bought the Canon Pack (for my R6 - CLog3), and it looks so saturated and contrasty (highlights blown out and blacks are crushed), I don't know why.

These look fantastic. Thanks for working so hard on the canon version! For the second part, what lenses was Bryce Saucier using on the C70. It's a great look, but I'm just trying to work out how much of it comes from the LUT or the lens.

Thanks - he used the Leica R lenses. My advice would be to look at arri Alexa footage. The arri Alexa has a strong look (no matter the lenses used) and that’s what I have emulated here.

@@phantomluts thanks for the feedback! I have another question. I’m currently grading my C70 footage in a DaVinci wide gamut workspace outputting to rec709 gamma 2.4. Do you have a ‘creative’ LUT that works within a DWG color space so I can use it in this particular pipeline? I really love what you’ve done with these LUTs, would be fantastic to incorporate them.

Yes, the LUTs support Canon Cameras that shoot either C-Log2 or C-log3 with Cinema Gamut

Do I need to get it from your canon cinema section ? Your reply is very much appreciated . As I have C70 it looked okay on CLOG 2 Wanted to double check if that is correct one .
