After 8 years of playing the same show together, Phantom Planet + Maroon 5 (plus Nate from Big City Rock) join forces and perform the Beatles hit "Hey Jude"
live at the Glass House.

All the comment ive read seem to be people blinded by their opinions of the band. For example some drool about it and think it is great, while other call people cunts. This is neither a good nor bad cover. They don't seem serious enough about covering a Beatles song to pull it off very well. They seem really full of themselves and like they are only up there to make jokes at the beginning. The Beatles>>>>>>>>>than anyone on stage in this video.

theyre are a billion musicians on stage, they gotta play what's available. i think its hilarious because jeff conrad (who i THINK was in big city rock at this point)is there and so is jason schwartzman! (if you didnt know, jeff replaced jason when he left Phantom Planet.) anyway. i love phantom planet. and i miss jaqcues.

I don't really understand why everyone is saying this is so terrible. It sounds very good. I'm not blown away, but I am impressed. It was a bit... shaky in the beginning, I don't know what Adam was singing, but by the "nanana" part, everything sounded amazing and the vocals/music was very pleasing.

Actually I have a version up on youtube It's called Hey Jude matt navetta or something but check it out. I think I did a better job than these guys. I may have been a little harsh, but still, they don't even know all the words.

This is awesome! "Hey Jude" is my favorite song of all time and it is one of those songs that you have to sing along with at the top of your lungs. Was this when Jason was still in Phantom Planet because I'm pretty sure I saw Jeff Conrad on stage too?

It was Jason’s last days of being there drummer. I think Jeff was shadowing the band to transition Jason out.
