I was really excited to watch this but the weird cuts at important info sections drove me nuts. I had stop watching unfortunately. That being said, what a great collection and I’d love to see the full videos on here someday.

Tascam is a serious company, very good products . Had a 3340 4 tracks in the 80's, synchronized with an Atari ST by LTC SMPTE, worked fine.

What a beautiful trip down memory lane. I was never able to afford any of this equipment but I was very aware of it. I was stuck behind and old Peavey 900 series live mixing board most of my early audio career. I coveted all of these beautiful pieces of gear. I could afford them now if I wanted them 45 years later. In fact I do plan to purchase a nice refurbished Reel to Reel just to hear that warm ness and rich deep quality that nothing else can match, esp digital sound. It will probably be a 4 track model as I still enjoy the engineering aspect of music ver very much. Thanks for posting. As for the quality of this video, we live now in a generation after generation of cry babies and idiots who cannot read introductions or hit a pause button. I did punch in a few times. Esp when the TEAC ad with the mixer and 4 track popped up.I remember that ad and had cut it out the magazine it was in and put it on my wall as a teenager. Cheers!

I’ve got a Teac model 5, serial number 1406. And the 12 channel expander (5ex) serial number 1624. Very early units. And a Tascam LA8 line amp. Serial number 10008. Only the 8th unit. All bought in 1975

I have a Tascam 44 1/4 track. I'm looking for a parts and user manual as well as the small cap that retains the smaller roller on RH side (the one with the switch arm). It's aluminum with a very small threaded stud on the back where it threads into the shaft. The roller keeps walking off the shaft and falling off without it. Do you have an idea of a source for one of these, or a part number I could search for? Thanks!

The recorder is now at the Screen Gems movie studios in Atlanta, GA. The movie was theatrically released in the United States on August 13, 2021. It is now available from Amazon Prime. Also the 1948 Ampex 200A #33 tape recorder in our collection was on display at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin during 2020. It has now been returned to our studio. Cheers! Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately our Museum is not staffed. At present we are significantly downsizing the collection, are unable to provide resource and research services and are not accepting additional items. The web sites will be maintained when time permits. Due to a lack of interest and donations, the non-profit permanent museum facility could not be created and was dissolved in December 2017. Without funding we are unable to respond to the numerous inquiries. We wish there had been a better outcome and hope this link will be helpful. The page has a list of links for manuals, repair, selling recommendations, etc. FYI the 1948 Ampex 200A #33 tape recorder in our collection will be on display at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin for a brief period late this Fall (2019) and early Spring (2020). Yes TEAC is a serious company and you should pay a little more respect then to jack up your video with cheesy page turns and constant flipping. Did you just get baby's first video editing software? I'm sorry but you have ruined all the great information you were trying to impart with ridiculous transitions that make no sense whatsoever. Idiotic audio fades that cut off every last word and phrase just to make sure you have ball-preened the information. Please unplug your computer until you have come to your senses and can actually show us the incredible history of TEAC. Thanks and have a nice day.
