It’s been a while since the last time I watched this movie. But it’s starting to make sense to me now. J.J got Tammy pregnant with Jessie when she and Cutter were dating. That explains why he is so hell bent on getting revenge on J.J. Plus the fact that they were enemies on the racetrack.

Actually it because of lighting and light reflection on camera lenses it seems to be a trick of light in the camera lens it's self to me and oh yeah the repair team might have not paid attention and got it wrong as well when setting up the car for the next scene in the movie

At first, I was thinking this was some really pathetic remake of Cristine combined with some campy version of "Tading Paint" or something. I am really shocked that it was as good as it was.
