Personally I love the video’s/streams where you are playing live. You may not be able to explain everything right then and there, but I think it’s enough, especially with you often reviewing afterwards. Spectated just has too much gaps and sped up gameplay for me to stay interested.

regarding the non giant unit manufacturer discount thing, that late into the game you'll more or less always deploy 3 squads per round so if he plans to do that its break even in the 2nd round (round 9) and if round 10 happens its +150

I feel like if he anticipated the phantom rays he would have gone for something to deal with them. Maybe he just anticipated the worm being countered in some fashion and so didn't go for it.
